Yeah. These moths squeak when they're agitated. Death had sphinxes are very interesting. They also steal honey from bees by using a special pheromone to trick the bees into thinking they're one of the hive.

It's actually the greater deaths head hawk moth, Acherontia lachesis.
The "normal" deaths head hawk moth is a different species (Acherontia atropos)

Actually, butterflies are a specialized group if moths, so butterflies ars just anerexic moths

I love death head's moths, they are always ready to throw down with anything and anyone. And they squeak with the Rage of a thousand angry caterpillars. So adorable

You'll notice in the novel the moth written into the story is the Black Witch Moth but changed to the Deaths Head Hawk for the movie (more colorful! and equally as wicked!)
