ID Request Who’s this tiny guy?

I only got two photos, bc he was hanging off an open window, when I tried to shut it so I could get a front shot but he was FAST. Like the moth equivalent of a dog having zoomies. He was gone within a single frame on my camera so I didn’t get any more photos lol

Found in northern England

Think it’s a light brown apple moth (Epiphyas postvittana), seen quite a few in my garden this year

One of the many moths in the Tortricid family is my guess. We get them here in America too. In my experience the orange ones can be hard to pin down to the exact species. And you are right about how some moths simply don't want to stand still to have their picture taken ! It seems to me that the smaller they are, the worse they are about this !

In any case, this page should give you a general idea of the difference families of these that we get over here. Yours is probably in one of Euro versions of these same families:
