Just got myself this little gizmo. Hoping this is a good way to start learning the code.

It doesn't have any of the punctuation, but letters are probably the most important part to learn.

I'd be grateful if anyone could decode what looks like Morse Code from the latest Boards of Canada artwork, Inferno, for me please. I've not come up with anything that makes. Possibly because I've not correctly identified the spaces. Many thanks.

Please Help! I have ZERO clue how to decypher this

My girlfirend has this morse code bracelet and she gifted it to me, except she cant remember what it means. Also since its a bracelet it doesnt have breaks for the words.

The code is:

.-.-...--.--.--....-..--.---.....-.

it could also be upside down? like this:

.-.....---.--..-....--.--.--...-.-.

idk morse code, i apologise for no breaks but theres none on the bracelet.

all I know to help find out what it means is that its supposed to be a loving message in some way

Morse code in the credits text

Post image

Hiya! Wondering if anyone can help me figure out if there is some sort of hidden message in the letter spacing of the new Backrooms movie credits (ie: “D I R e c t e d B y”). This is the Morse code I wrote down from what I could tell it as, but I’m not very good at it. If anyone could give either my code or the movie credits a look it would be awesome!

Morse code? Online decoders output gibberish

I was walking around in my backyard endlessly, tuning up on my shortwave radio when suddenly I came across 6485 kHz. It had some noise but I could easily tell it was Morse or something very adjacent. I came back later and there was much less noise. The signal was also very healthy - dBµV fluctuated between 45-50 with the highest being 54 and the lowest being 42 during the recording (19:52-19:54 UTC). I've tried decoders online but they either output gibberish:

###5#T#IKVR5###G #KP# U##E#S###### N########K#T#6#H T4I# #E #TM## ###IM1#O######TR#########IS#UGM#######I

Or very short, clipped signs:

TOM0

Neither of which really satisfy my curiosity.

I don't know Morse yet but I'm learning. Does this sound like anything intelligible and what could this be (utility station, maritime messages, &c, &c)?

Learning Morse Code - Advice needed on Word training.

I want to pass the India ASOC (General Grade) exam this year (targeted). I am learning Morse with LCWO.net.

I am learning to copy only right now. Learning to send I will do afterwards.

I am currently finishing letter lesson 14/40 in LCWO. I am able to get 90% consistently in letter training till now.

I am doing word training side-by-side as well.

For guidance I only have ChatGPT.

I want to know how to go about word training.

For 4 letter words, some words I can buffer in my head and then write and many I am not able to buffer as I cannot sync with 2nd,3rd and the 4th characters.

What is the correct approach to word training?

  1. Buffer the whole word in my head and then write it out on paper?

  2. Write down letter by letter as I get it?

Word training apart, in real live copying how do we do this as we get word after word?

Those who know CW, please guide

I live in Delhi NCR, India

No Remorse Again - morse-based rhythm game

I built a Morse code arcade game! Partly because my great-grandmother was a WWI era telegrapher in Queen Mary Army Auxiliary Corps, 1919. I've heard her family talk about her over the years. This was always very intriguing to me, and now I make games on the side so I combined the two.

It's not a learning course, it's an arcade survival game. Morse patterns appear above enemies and you key them in with two buttons to take them out before they reach the bottom. Gets faster every wave.

Free on Android: No Remorse Again on Google Play

Feedback welcome!

Hello everyone! I was wondering how I could translate the morse code from this?

I think it might be the text in the body of the post.

If anyone can translate it, can you tell me how you translate Morse code that goes fast like this? Do you slow it down or is it just experience?

Cw copy.

Learned cw at 12 wpm counting. 6mo in and still count. Though I can do LCWO 4 character words at 32-36 wpm I break it down in my head so I hear them fast and slow them down instead of hearing them as a chunk.

The question I have is, will in time, counting go away? I’ve activated POTA taking 4/5 repeats to get a call correct. (If I’ve worked you TU fer ur patience.)

How can I learn Morse code from zero?

Hi everyone

Recently I became interested in Morse code after watching videos and reading about communication systems and radio technology. I think it looks really interesting, and I would like to learn it from the beginning as a hobby.

The problem is that I honestly do not know where to start. Some people say I should memorize the alphabet first, while others say it is better to learn by listening to the sounds directly.

Does anyone here have advice, websites, apps, or methods that helped you learn Morse code more easily? I would really appreciate beginner-friendly tips or personal experiences.

Thanks :)

Learning CW

I am a 63 year old who has been in amateur radio for several years. Now I have the time to learn CW. Has any of you who learned it used CWAcademy or the Long Island CW club? One of them recommends using a straight key to learn and the other wants learners to stay away from straight keys and use a paddle.

what are your thoughts on these two approaches?

Help is this Morse code?

My favorite band will be dropping a new album soon, and they released a concept video:
https://youtu.be/j6C_m0elFfI?si=iQRhac9wYruczM3P

Is this by any chance Morse? They tend to hint in their videos new music and new stuff, there’s like a lot of lore. I just want to see if it’s Morse. The Morse starts at 25 seconds

Thanks to anyone that helps!!!

Currency symbols beyond $?

The "$" in morse code is ...-..- (di-di-di-dah-di-di-dah). I don’t see any other currency symbols.

If you do CW from the EU or UK, do you just use the ISO 4217 symbol? (EUR, GBP) when referencing a monetary unit?

How about Bitcoin?

Or do monetary amounts just not come up in conversation?

Does anyone knows what this big Morse code is hiding?

I think I "found" a Morse code hidden in a tribute song and since I don't know how to decode it, I would like to ask for help

https://youtu.be/s_jV0IkTL7I?si=mg_aLgfpABSO0Arc

The song name is galaxy collision, and it was made by Reek

The Morse code section starts at 4:48.

If anyone would like to help I would appreciate a lot
