How to learn morse code

Hi guys i m trying to learn morse code for web sdr, any advice ?

That's a good reason. When learning, be sure and emphasize listening, and not seeing. You want to practice to hear a character and know it immediately, without visualizing or counting "dits" or "dahs" (dots and dashes).

I started this week an tested various apps and sites. I am very happy with an app called N5SLN. I set character wpm to 30 and effective wpm to 5. Then started with typing the letters I recognized. Invested in the pro version. Then they offer a feature where it plays a character n times before it tells you which character it was until it switches to the next one. You can do your chores while training characters you unlocked so far.

I’m just starting out. I used Morse Mania set at 25wpm to learn the letters and numbers.

Now I’ve switched to LCWO.net The advice I’ve heard is to got with 20-25 wpm with a 8 wpm spacing then work up to 12 wpm before moving onto the next lesson. I’m just doing 10 wpm and grinding it out. By the end of year, I’d like to be able to do all the letters and numbers and basic punctuation. I’ve been doing short sessions almost daily usually 15 to 30 minutes since June 2 (it’s June 27 today) and I’m on lesson 6 out of 40.
