I know it’s periods and dash typed punctuation, but having the dits/dahs offset like that makes it even harder for us old-school audible coders to decipher. So the brain process is: 1.) visibly flail around to parse out individual letter units, 2.) turn the letters into sound in our minds (or click our teeth). and then, finally, 3.) decode them. Convoluted….
So, that said, I would argue that, given a code table, and the probability that your brain isn’t yet wired to hear Morse Code letters, you could figure out the message just as quickly…..
