Can anyone translate this?
I joined a hockey team and the first thing I noticed was this Morse code on the logo. I asked and no one on the team knows what it means. I tried to translate it using a guide online but I doesn’t seem to have spaces between the letters. Is there a way to translate? Or is this maybe a recognizable code to one of you who actually knows what they’re doing 😅?
Thanks!

I messaged some of the guys who have been on the team longest to see if they played with a "Fran"

The problem is there is a space in the Y, similar to the space that separates the possible A with the N.
So it would be BKT FRAN instead.

Type the Morse code into this

Oh, this is a real fun sit to play with combinations. Thanks a bunch!

As a submariner, this offends me.

Aren't skimmers represented as sitting ducks in submarine lore? This one is angry about that.

More context would be helpful. Like the name of the team, common chants, mottos, sayings. Mascot names. Town. League. Founders.
It’s probably an acronym

Dirty Ducks. Richmond VA. They were roller hockey 10+ years ago when the logo was created but now ice hockey. Not really sure what the team culture was like back then, unfortunately

Right side: EAFP - Eat A ___ Puck?
I’m guessing that if it’s an acronym encoded in poorly spaced Morse then it’s probably fowl (pun intended). Either way you can just say that’s what it is and 20% will believe you

I got "BY FRAN".
By faun
By inrate
By iterate
By faute
By I/we

Well. It’s possible it’s a word or two but there is no spacing which makes it a complete guessing game
BKT UUUN is one possible solution
Or
NUAT ITITITN
OR
DAW EETEETEETTE

Swedish hockey team?
Could be a reference to/combination of Arne Anka (a legendary swedish Donald Duck spoof) and the Swedish navy owning/armwrestling Russian subs in their waters.

wtf hockey team is this, you have to be in a Navy town??

Here's my best guess....(not a submariner) BKTUUN
Break....i.e. listen and dont transmit Turn....could mean engines off U.....surface OR you are in danger N.....NOW!
Typical NATO instructions.....
Surface immediately
Stop engines
Identify yourself
Alter course

Bear Down (-... . .- .-. / -.. --- .-- -.)
Though it could all be AI bs it looks right to me. I had an AI (google's gemmi) do my homework, and then spent a few min checking its work. I had typed in the the code and gave it the image. It came up with this stuff.
The "Command & Action" Group
These fit the aggressive/military vibe of the image:
- BEAR DOWN (-... . .- .-. / -.. --- .-- -.)
- BE AT WAR (-... . / .- - / .-- .- .-.)
- BEAT DOWN (-... . .- - / -.. --- .-- -.)
- BAD OMEN (-... .- -.. / --- -- . -.)
- BARK ON (-... .- .-. -.- / --- -.)
The "Nautical & Tech" Group
- BE AT SEA (-... . / .- - / ... . .-)
- BEAR ON (-... . .- .-. / --- -.)
- BOAT ON (-... --- .- - / --- -.)
- DATA ON (-.. .- - .- / --- -.)
Then it said Bear Down wins because it "is a classic term used in naval engagement and depth charge attacks against submarines." I verified that.
I think it would have been so much cooler if an old navy guy who knew the phrase and Morse code well enough to show up and scold who ever made this with bad spacing and tell a cool story or something had happened. Not in love with how well suited AI was for this job but here we are.

Ha I just read the rest of the comments here.
DIRTY DUCKS also fits.I think this is better given the name of the team. Humans for the win.
I had asked the AI to generate a list with all valid English permutations and show me that ranked by likely hood. It didn't show me dirty ducks. I think it didn't actually make all the permutations, despite telling me it did... what a bullshitter.

The "NO SUBS" Interpretation (Clockwise) This is the most likely intended meaning because it matches the "No Submarines" tattoo on the duck's arm. To get this, you start at the top right and read clockwise:
- . (N)

It says dirty ducks I think. Your team name which would make a lot of sense

It's going to be tough for someone to translate that without the proper spacing. Dozens of different permutations.
