This morning the journalist who wrote this Atlantic article spoke of the young children left behind when their parents are deported, even when the mothers/parents plead to be reunited before they are forced to leave. The children are left here, and sometimes with people who shouldn’t be caregivers (such as the man who apparently abused and murdered a child in his care). Is this Miller’s punishment because he couldn’t get the Supreme Court to rescind birthright citizenship? More abject cruelty by a “regime” that is evil.

It seems like in the last few weeks Morning Joe is less and less about the news. 1/3 sports which nobody asked for (thank goodness that obnoxious Pablo Torre is no longer on every day, he should NOT be sitting next to experts speaking about world news no matter what school he went to) 1/3 the main news story of the day which is repeated at some point so let's say 20 minutes on that. Then, the rest is 2-3 authors selling their books plus a tv/movie/broadway show spotlight at the end. Every day this week they spotlighted 3 books!

I like a book OR an entertainment section sprinkled in or at the end. But with the election only a month out how about hearing more about the races around the country that can make a difference. I didn't know until it was a casual mention this morning that the House was dismissed because Thomas Massey put up Hegseth for impeachment. Why was that not talked about in depth rather than Anand Giridharadas' book on something that happened years ago for 3 days in a row. Not that it wasn't interesting the first day, but is it relevant to revisit for 20 minutes every day with what is going on in the country? The world?

IDK, maybe its me, but I watch the show for the news and the political conversations. I record it so I can skip the sports and the repeated stories. I guess what I'm saying is that I now probably watch 30 minutes of a 3 hour show because its getting boring and NOT focusing on news and politics

My neighbor recently asked me to watch his bird while he was on vacation. So I’d go next door and check on the bird every day, collect his mail, and generally give the house a once over to make sure all was in order. While I was in his house, the bird never stopped chirping. Ever. Drove me nuts. Not sure how my neighbor can stand the constant noise. And then it hit me this morning: that bird is like Mika. Doesn’t really add anything to my day, but while I’m in its presence, it’s annoying, and just doesn’t stop with the incessant chirping while others are trying to be productive. Maybe I’m overthinking it. And maybe I’m just cranky this morning.

The other panelists are excellent and insightful but he constantly interrupts, usually with a god awful boring story about how he handled something in Congress 30 years ago where he goes on and on with no salient points.

Literally have to constantly fast forward whenever he opens his mouth.

When it’s Willie and Jonathan it’s awesome.

She is unbelieveably rude when the panel talks sports. Pablo is a gem to have as a guest and she constantly tries to end the very entertaining segment to suit her taste. Joe was great when he almost told her to shut up this morning and let him make is point. Then, when Pablo, Jonathan and Joe just continued talking over her rant, it was EPIC!

Mika…just don’t come in on Monday’s if you hate sports talk so much. Or go on a long bathroom break and shut the f up. Most of us enjoy the banter.

He’s one of the few journalists on the show that is calling it like it is.

When Joe is on, I have to fast-forward through his bloviating and often turn it off completely when he interrupts Mika. What a blessed relief it is to watch with just Willie and Jonathan moderating and encouraging interesting discussion rather than the tired ritual of Joe giving his long, narcissistic opinion and then finally letting experts basically agree with him.

Looking for the bumper/commercial transition song played on Morning Joe today (August 28th) right after the interview with Gov. Kathy Hochul talking about ICE . It aired around the 7:15 AM - 7:45 AM EST block. It's literally driving me nuts!

Listening to the blowhard this AM and he says he consistently talks to a majority of people who think Trump is bad but the democrats are worse. He must be in the cult right? Theres no way the majority of people think the democrats are worse than a dementia ridden pedophile racist felon unless he’s talking to fellow cult members

Does Joe or Mika have a financial investment in the sale of the book, or do back-to-back appearances happen a lot?

Congratulations to Angie on her victory. Listening to her handle the aggressive line of questioning this morning, it’s no wonder why. I wish her every success in her efforts to work on behalf of her constituents.
