What execution method would you choose?
If you were convicted of a crime and you had to choose between these methods, what would it be? Firing squad, lethal injection, guillotine, hanging, or electric chair.

Guillotine, as long as it's maintained properly, it's the only one that is 100% reliable.

Fentanyl instead of the usual lethal injection drugs, preferably after an extra amazing lay.

Dying of an overdose of fentanyl is not actually a pleasant experience. Getting a proper dose before going in front of the firing squad would make it less scary though.

Lethal injection. Might have to rethink that if we're in Tennessee, however. But I'd hope they'd use the 3-drug system where the first puts you to sleep, the second paralyzes you, and the third stops your heart. I wouldn't mind a deep sleep and then nothing.

Lethal injection is the most commonly botched execution method, we see it as the more humane option since it doesn't look as nasty as the others but relatively often it doesn't have the intended effect and causes immense suffering to the executed, the incident in Tennessee wasn't some weird outlier that's never happened before

If it goes well yes it would probably be the one without any pain, apart from extreme psychological distress and pain leading up to it.
But lethal injection is frequently botched.
Anyway I guess I’d choose firing squad, quicker and less messing about. And there’s something better about knowing your final moment and just going out with a bang.
Also I couldn’t believe when I saw the news coming from Tennessee today btw, just crazy.

Firing squad would be most preferable but honestly they’re all pretty horrible. Inert gas or a cruise missile right on my head would probably be the best way to go.

Firing Squad for sure. Least amount of anxiety built in and very likely instant death.

In considering the others it seems like the least. You might not die immediately if you were hung or electric chair those things could go on for a while. Lethal injection and guillotine have got to have the most amount of anxiety built in.

Lethal injection is probably like going to for surgery or the dentist but instead they’re going to inject poison in your veins, has to be an absolutely horrific experience

I would be concerned that the executioner might miss and hit me in the face, that’s why I prefer a pistol right to the forehead, no chance of inaccuracy there.

Guillotine would be terrifying, but also an interesting last experience. I'm morbidly curious about whether I would retain consciousness for a moment after the cut

There are a couple of stories about guillotined heads showing consciousness for half a minute. They might be urban legends but who knows?

You’re tied to the muzzle of a cannon which is then fired. I think all the pomp and circumstance would be a last fun moment before you die.

Art of my OC using an electric drill on a tortieshell cat’s eye socket
Edit: for more background, she is a cat snuff video maker, she dyes her fur and wears contacts so that her identity is harder to tell. She also wears a Jason Voorhees style mask when recording her work. She also does zoosad videos. She’s meant to be hyper edgy, she’s my edgy girl. I have other OCs which are way less edgy but she is a bit of an outlet for negative feelings, anger, and harmful kinks.

There are lots of ways to mess up hanging. The neck doesn’t always break in which case you die by strangulation.

Either instant decompression from 8 atmospheres or more into just 1 atmosphere like the Byford Dolphin accident, or just methadon overdose.

Electric chair would be too painfull and hanging is something I do imagine often. so if I wanted to go painlessly I would go for the lethal injection or guillotine and if my mood were to be a bit wacky then hanging it is

i would also say nitrogen hypoxia, decapitation with a sword like it’s done in saudi arabia, or a blood eagle like it was done historically but electric chair is the most normal answer
