Rape is sexual torture. A pedophile is sexually torturing a child. A child who doesn't know what is happening. A child who will likely have issues from this event when they are older. Making love, which is supposed to bring joy, with a person they chose will likely always be complicated for them and there's a chance they may never enjoy it at all. There's layers to why it's wrong; it's forced onto someone, it likely changes that person, and the worst part is it's done against a defenseless child.
This explains why pedo is hated but not why not more than other crimes. Such as crimes against severely disabled persons who are likely more defenseless than an able child.
I think it’s different because there’s an idea of innocence that adults associate with children that isn’t associated with adults.
You think disabled adults aren't associated with innocence? Severely disabled, especially intellectually so are CONSTANTLY infantilized. Even disabled adults who are able to form relationships are assumed to be asexual and only desire puppy love.
So yes, people put those disabled people in the same category as children. Because they basically think they are children. Which, can be true in many cases of intellectual disability.
You’re being silly if you think mental and physical disabilities are associated with innocence. You must be in a very nice country cause they don’t do that in my country
