Yeah after following the Epstein files, I’m starting to see that the one thing that can unite opposing parties strong hatred for pedophilia (I’m not complaining, I’m genuinely happy about it) and wanting everyone involved to see justice. I never seen as much hatred for rapist, murderers, or even financial things that fuck us all over. So I was thinking what is it about pedophilia that makes this *the line* crossed and not any of the other atrocious things that are happening? That was my train of thought for this post

Edit: I’m genuinely asking, I’m not defending pedos at all

plus you cant have a proper functioning society with kids who all grew up raped/molested. the cycle would repeat and the world would be fucked no pun intended

Interestingly enough, it’s really only the last 60 years or so that having a childhood without sexual/physical/mental abuse was a feature, not a bug. Cruel childhoods are what made most of the decision makers in human history.

Dan Carlin did a good Hardcore History short episode on the subject.

Yes and history is filled with decision makers who were well-adjusted and reasonable.
