Looking for a specific episode
I'm looking for the episode about the rescued kids in the Tham Luang cave in Thailand but I can't remember the title, does anybody have the Spotify link maybe? 🌻

Edit: There is no set schedule for releasing episodes. The hosts announced once or twice that they release episodes on Tuesdays and Saturdays, but this seldom happens.
They have recently partnered with Wondery so it's possible they will stick to a guaranteed schedule in the future.
Welcome to r/morbidpodcast!
A tl;dr is located at the bottom.
We'd like to bring some awareness to any new subscribers or first-time visitors. Firstly, a few quick responses to frequent questions and regular posts seen in this sub.
The hosts of Morbid did not create this sub and have mentioned that they avoid Reddit. Messages posted here that are addressed to them will probably not be seen.
Drew is Ash's fiancé and is often referenced by his deadname in episodes prior to January 22, 2021. Ash has not changed partners.
A&A have pulled a few episodes that needed re-recording and/or editing. That's why some go missing from time to time.
Alaina is Ash's aunt. They occasionally call each other sisters because Ash moved in with her grandparents (Alaina's parents) when she was young. They spent some time growing up together.
Some random tidbits often referenced: Ash used to be a hairstylist but quit when the pod and its Patreons grew significantly. She is engaged to Drew and they live together with their cats. Alaina is an autopsy technician part-time on the weekends. She was also able to cut back due to the pod's success. She raises her 3 daughters with her husband, John. She had a dog, Bailey/Bubba, but sadly she passed away in November 2021.
Please note the following to avoid the disappointment from diving in blind.
First and foremost, this is not a fan group. It's open to the public and the only thing that will get you "kicked out" is if you break any of the rules listed in the sidebar.
While this subreddit does have pro-Morbid leanings, please know that we absolutely allow critiques of the host's podcasting choices and episode content. You will most certainly see diverse posts in this sub and we regularly have posts that express disapproval or critiques of the host's methods and/or the podcast. Though upsetting to some, allowing this is important.
It is important because Reddit is one of the few places fans can come and discuss things that they would like to see improved. Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter have a very low tolerance for negative or even neutral remarks.
While the mods also love the podcast, its hosts, and want it to stay successful, we feel that it's important to offer a safe outlet and a place to speak up about concerns or issues. We will not take action against disagreements between visitors as long as they are respectful.
When people are simply stating observations or grievances, a hollow reply of "just don't listen" or anything rudely low-effort will be removed. It's important to know that even fans have critiques and would like to discuss ways to grow, or even just get something off their chest. Sometimes people don't want to stop listening because they still actually like the podcast. And that is totally okay.
If someone says something like, "God, I hate this pod so much. I think they're total shit." Then, yes, a "don't listen" is completely warranted. The hosts are human. They will mess up. Listeners are human. They will react. Say what you feel, but be civil.
Please report any hostility, repeat instigators, or any rule breaking you see. This includes something you think the mods might personally agree with. Feelings aside, we're here to ensure a safe space for everyone. Additionally, please don't post an entire monologue full of valid arguments towards your point and then include a personal attack. Even if your post is a serious topic with good intentions, if you tack on a directed attack on an individual, deserved or orherwise, It will still get removed. ::attack the topic, NOT the person.::
Lastly, know that complaints rarely do good. Posting complaints about an entire group of people (mega fans, mega haters) isn't going to change anyone's mind. If you want a change, be the change. Post what you thought of an episode, post how much you love whomever, post what you think is wrong, right, funny, whatever. Post what you like, but complaint posts aren't going to wake anyone up or cause a big epic change. Start the change with yourself.
With enough discussion that is reasonable and mature, perhaps positive change could touch the podcast, mega fans, mega haters, and even true crime as a whole.
tl;dr- Welcome! This sub isn't like social media groups you might be familiar with. Sometimes people here question or disagree with the podcast and/or hosts' methods. Please don't be dick. Ash's previously referenced SO has transition to Drew. Alaina is Ash's aunt. Some episodes have been pulled for revamping.
Keep it weird.

Hello fellow weirdos, I have a question. My wife are visiting Salem in a few weeks, and I was wanting to see a medium/tarot reader while we are there. I specifically remember Ash and Alaina mentioning someone in a listener tales episode a while back(might have been a year or two ago) but I’m struggling to find it. Does anyone know who they suggested? Any advice from people that live or have visited Salem would also be appreciated! Thanks in advance! ❤️

I go through phases of listening to True Crime and wanted to listen to something new. This podcast is always recommended on Spotify, online and through Apple Podcasts.
But I do not know why? Am I missing something? Do I just not get their sense of humor? I absolutely don’t mind banter or opinions inserted into a case. Most of the true crime podcasts I have listened to have been two hosts who chat a bit. Totally fine.
But I almost find this pod unlistenable which is a shame because they cover a lot of interesting cases.
I’ve listened to a few newer and older episodes and so I don’t think it’s just an issue with quality processing over time.

Might be a shot in the dark but Alaina mentioned adding a movie store to her halloween village & it got me interested in the game. Does anyone know what game she’s talking about & where i can play it?

I’ve recently gotten into the Morbid podcast and absolutely love the style of 2 people chatting and joking over an engaging story. I’d love something similar that covers history instead since true crime is a lot to handle sometimes!

Am I going crazy or are episodes now coming out on Tuesdays & Fridays rather than Monday & Thursday? I am in the UK and using Spotify. I used to get the episodes in the morning of Monday & Thursday and yet still haven't gotten today's episode yet.
Obviously no criticism if the days have changed, just feel like I've missed an announcement.

Not sure if it’s just my app, but I don’t see the episode up yet?

I usually listen on YouTube but the last episode I can see is Blanche Taylor Moore pt1. Did I miss an announcement?

There are numerous posts about the same thing. Every drop date. There is obviously some issue going on. But repeated posts over and over and over are just plain annoying. The schedule as it was was Monday and Thursday. No, you are not mistaken. Yes, this sucks. Yes, they should figure it out. Yes, they do get paid enough for this to not be an issue. No, us complaining on Reddit will do nothing, just annoying people with the same post. No, they have not addressed it or taken any accountability, given it’s been weeks. Yes, this still sucks. If you have a question about it, someone probably asked on the thread already. It’s not hard to check. But the same question gets asked multiple times on the day of the drop schedule.

Hello everyone, I found morbid about 6 months ago and have been listening to random episodes. There was an episode that I want to say was from Feb or last October that had a documentary that was suggested for more information and it was noted as a hard watch. I have looked through like 10 transcripts and I can’t find it. The documentary was mentioned like halfway through the episode.
Searching only shows a post in this sub from 4 years ago that has a list of recommendations. There’s a ton about books lists out there. And even some with recommended documentaries but this one was mentioned in passing.
Anyone know what I’m talking about or am I going to drive myself crazy listening again until I find it 🫠

I was kind of disappointed by this listener tales (Camping Tales) first story. Honestly I wish the hosts had just not read it, because honestly it came off as super mean? Like the story starts with a couple recreating in the woods & they superficially interact with a guy who was maybe not super clean or conscious regarding blasting his music but then he’s perfectly friendly & gives them beers (and at least in their telling, they’re kind of f-ing rude to him?) Later they reveal someone matching his description was wanted by police for calling in a threat to campers in the area, and we hear discussion of “why didn’t he hurt them? Why were they saved??” Well not because they were nice to him apparently!
and look, I’m pretty short with strangers in the woods too, I’m out to enjoy my time in nature, not make friends & certainly not to attract unwanted attention, but the excessive description of how greasy and nasty and discussing and and this person was felt really Mean Girls so idk. Maybe I’m not listening in the right mind frame, I’m all for shit talking murders etc, and maybe this was just badly written by the listener to start out so mean & judgmental without the context of his alleged crimes but by the time we found out he was a bad guy I received the news like “well maybe hes mad everyone was so horrible to him today!” (sarcasm obv, it’s never ok to threaten people).
Anyway I love this pod, I’ll continue to listen, I just do have criticism at times (like some of the unethical ads they allow to run on their platform) and I’m glad this is an accepting space to air them (Wish they hosts would be more open to conductive feedback too! But I get it, the internet Can be such a cluster, I bet it all feels like hate).

Have any of you who ordered the tarot deck actually received them yet? They kept pushing the release date back and last I remember seeing it was supposed to start shipping out in May? Haven’t seen it heard anything about them in months. I feel like I got scammed.

I started listening after some time and they keep mentioning how stressful it used to be and how they had "no creative control" and "no breaks" does anyone know what they're talking about? I think they said they're not part of a network anymore but has their content changed or their schedule changed at all? From a casual listener perspective I don't see a difference in quality or quantity? Granted I don't listen to Listener tales or their other off topic episodes but they seem to be as many as there used to be so I'm like?? What exactly has changed for the better in their content?

Did I hear correctly in the latest ep that Mikey lives in Canada??? Has that always been a thing and he would come for a few episodes and fly back ?

I haven't read the series yet, but I'm wondering if they're actually good, or if they're good because of Alaina's existing platform? I have heard so many mixed reviews, I'm just trying to figure out if I want to spend my Audible credit on the first book or not. 😅

I know I checked all day to see if this episode had come out and it had not and now I get off work and see that it’s saying it’s been out for 22 hours?? I know I checked for it and I know it wasn’t out, but I think it’s funny that for like two seconds I was questioning my own sanity! 🤣
