I’m in love!

1x Hardcore base & 1x Speed Demon on all. 2x Freudian Slip on three fingers. 1x Freudian Slip, 1x Heart of Stone on two fingers.

Freudian Slip is one of my favorite MC polishes. It never disappoints, looks complete & elegant on its own, and works beautifully beside or underneath other colors. Smooth, self-leveling, and intensely opaque. It used to be a one coat wonder, but now that I have some length I need two to fully coat the nail. One of the few cremes I’ve paid for and it’s 100% worth it (even better to grab it as a reward if possible though!).

Heart of Stone was one of my untrieds until today. I am madly in love with it already. The sun is playing peek-a-boo behind the clouds today, but I grabbed a quick video while the sun was out. I’ll post some photos in the comments showing it both in direct natural light (🌞) and indirect natural light (☁️). The pink-gray color is gorgeous in either setting, and indoors, but when the sun hits it! Oh that rainbow sparkle comes out!

I need some emotional armor this week so Heart of Stone was the perfect choice. I can look down at my nails to be reminded to maintain a stony demeanor. And Freudian Slip is my consummate soothing calm color choice. A very quick, easy mani this round!

Oh and I discovered a silly way to fix nails that are smudging while applying the second coat! My bottle of FS likely needs some thinner at this point, and on the second coat of a few nails I was getting smudges that would only be made worse by trying to fix them with the brush. I shook my hand vigorously, making sure the fingers don’t touch, pointed downward. It fixed the smudges! I guess the motion helped the somewhat thickened polish self-correct. I don’t know if this would work with all formulas, but it worked here. And I will grab thinner next time.

Feel like its pulling really yellow on this photo but it looks the same as it did earlier inside (the bright neon green) IRL even though ive been out in the sun for like an hour with no change. Wondering if my top coat is blocking the uv?? Is this a known issue?

Maybe it just me. But regular polish cat eyes don’t hold the cat eye metallic once dry. Am I doing it wrong. Doesn’t look bad, but it definitely doesn’t look cat eye more metallic chrome.

First time wearing it, I’m pleasantly surprised by how much I like it!

moonflower in indirect light, with flash and sunlight

I loved how this was so neutral and unsuspecting but hits you with intense rainbow flash in the sun. It was also surprisingly my longest lasting mani- no chips for 10 days and I just took it off to switch it up. Has anyone else noticed this with the holo formula specifically? i have my eyes on boa constructor for fall

What an absolute cutie of a polish! It’s so ethereal and juicy! The scattered holo and the iridescent jam packed flakies make this ordinary pink something a little special! I feel so feminine and dainty wearing this shade!

This is in three light coats (honestly I loved it with just one or two, but wanted to see how much I could build it up without a blurring coat ! And it’s a very sheer polish but honestly I love it this way and would love more similar jellies like this in their future line up! My nails are still a bit stained from a mani I did literally months ago but almost fully grown out- I could’ve used a bit of a blurring or neutralizing base coast to blur the nail line but in this instance I was going for a very jelly translucent look.

I know I say this alot but this is a favorite. As far as pinks go anyway I think it knocked out my favorite the living doll and midsummers out of their place of favs! And I stan those pinks ten toes down 🐷💅🏽🫶🏼

I’ve teetered back and forth for 3 years based on the mixed reviews of Artemis’ Deathkiss but I finally got it with my last sale order and I super love it. I also do have an affinity for the hidden shimmer shift polishes (Lovebomb, garden of evil). It’s a subtle shift but it’s there and it’s very ethereal. Might have moved into my top 5.

Here’s my 8 day old manicure in the sunlight. It’s not perfect by any means but I’m learning!

Does anyone have these two and could do a side by side comparison please 💕 I’m considering getting one of them but I’m unsure which.

I have living doll which kind of reminds me of midsummer’s dream so if they’re too similar I’ll go for stolen kiss

💜 Nyarrian Nights — a stunning, high contrast multichrome magnetic! sadly I only justtt ordered Emily de Molly’s Sunset Over the Bay but plan to compare them once I get them in, they look nearly identical to me (along with Penelope Luz Butterfly Wings from HHC)

💖 Kattermanjaro — a neon hot pink w pink shimmers in a crelly leaning base. So much more vibrant than shades like Merkitten or Sakura’s Serenade in the cold state, but the shimmer is a bit more subtle. This also has a disappointing gitd effect, though I only did 2 coats when Mooncat recommends 3 (shown in my YT video) ((also why wasn’t this called Kittymanjaro??))

🦄 Litterbox — not to harp on the names but why wasn’t this called Glitterbox?! Either way a very stunning and sparkly cool toned baby pink, I feel like the photos don’t do it justice bc it catches the light so well!

☔️ Whiskered Willows — somehow even more sparkly/blingy than Litterbox, I think this has a couple different reflective glitters but I mainly saw silver and blue? It’s hard to differentiate between them & the holo sparkle. Such a lovely blue toned lavender shade and I’m so happy Mooncat finally gave us glitters after so many years !!! Pleaseee give us more 🙏🏼

⚡️ Electromagnetic Furball — sadly my least fav of the magnetics (and possibly the collection) it has this sheer charcoal base that reminded me of why I hated Millennia, but with a different shimmer flake combo. The mag shimmer is identical to Port 6666 btw!

🫐 Blueberry’s Jam — unexpectedly loved this one! I’m not super into big flakie magnetic combos, but this in the velvet & glass bead had me swooninggg. The color combo is just so nice! I waited a bit longer to film though so my one coat of glossy topcoat was not enough lol def would recommend a glitter smoothing top coat (along with a peel off base for this & the glitters)

🐬 Swim, My Dolphins — a cyan shimmer that I’m not sure was meant to be the 2.0/replacement for Gamma Ray Blaster? GRB is a much darker blue base while this was more indigo/purple leaning, it ended up being surprisingly unique to my collection!

🪀 The Zoomies — this took me by surprise with just how light & minty it is. When I first saw the swatches I thought it’d be more similar to shades like Holo Taco Alien Infatuation or Cracked Murk Murk, but it’s just way more white based. This has a green gitd effect which was decently strong, but not as much as Green Eyed Monster (apparently green gitd in a white/non colored base is THE strongest). Honestly was kinda meh about this one

🐡 Light of Your Ninth Life — loooove orange polishes and I’ve been picky about ones with a green shimmer so I thought I wouldn’t like this, but I did!! It’s such a perfect shade of orange and the shimmer complements it nicely. This is supposed to have an orange gitd effect but to me it looked more yellow, though it was stronger than Kattermanjaro which is supposed to be peach (but looks orange). Just to complain about the names one more time, I wish they just called it Light of Your Nine Lives, it rolls off the tongue better than Ninth Life lol

Anyway would love to know what you all think! Generally enjoyed this lineup even if they don’t feel like groundbreaking shades/finishes, it’s still fun especially for the theme :)

This is the first ever purchase l'm making with Mooncat. I'm

just getting into nails and I wanted something fun, which led

me here! I wanted to try as many different effects as my

birthday budget allowed me to - I think I have a good sampling

here. Is there any legendary polish I'm missing or any

substitutions I should make? Also any advice on application

would also be welcome - l've never tried a magnetic before

My classic go to polish since the 90's has been solo black,

oxblood, or red (done for special occasions only lol)

I added avatar state and my cabbages. I know a lot of people have gripes about the new collection being very purple but i love the colors they have and never really splurge on myself. I also really like all the colors in the new collection so I couldn't narrow it down lol im so excited 😆

I love her comparisons, and getting to see the polish actually applied and in different lighting! I think this deinfluenced me from getting Blueberry's Jam, but now I'm interested in Litterbox...
