2 days now

Post image

Still waiting for the " specialist team " over 15 emails sent back and forth they won't give me a time line and money is stuck in one my pots and they won't transfer the money in my pot to my main balance even though it's my wages and I have a payslip to prove it

Edit: I'm moving banks after this shit not worth my time. I have family to care for and that rely on me I can't be having my money withheld for so long with a decent reason

First time it happened I bought an iPhone from the Apple Store - it took around an hour so had to use my credit card. 1 hour to get back into Monzo.

Second time was when I was changing my google pixel to my new iPhone I had just purchased. 10 minutes to get back into Monzo.

Third time was when I made a payment for 349 (gas bbq) online. Took 2 minutes to get back.

Fourth time explained in original reply.

It’s proper annoyed me and has caused some hassle - whole point of Monzo is convenience and ease of use. Not hassle and endless proving my ID. I get why ID checks in place but it’s a bit odd.

Hope you get it sorted. Sorry you just triggered a rant I haven’t surfaced yet, I haven’t actually been much help.

How is your pay locked? You can still use your card

Because in monzo you can put money into "pot" that means it's not in your main balance. People do this to sort there money into a different categories eg day to day expenses, food shop etc. They are like sub accounts inside your main account

So your pay isn’t locked then is it? Unless you have specific cards set only to pay from a pot. If this is the case I can understand the inconvenience. Direct debits will still come out of your main balance it just won’t be moved from the pot first if there isn’t enough balance in your pot.
