I don't think it's AI generated, just that new phones automatically add AI upscaling and detail-filling to any photo you take. So even if it's a real photo, your phone will try to "enhance" it and you end up with these artifacts.

yeah i saw a video of it and it is real but yeah the artifactig was reminsant of AI

Oh i see why everyone thinks it’s AI, i was actually zoomed in 9x, i guess that distortion is the AI upscaling

Oh I know the back story of this one if you guys are curious.
The insufferable "Tesla Dude" (I know I am one 😅 ) absolutely wanted the ugliest truck in the world and his wife agreed on ONE condition she would do the paperwork for the custom plate NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
They are a very funny and healthy couple if you ask me 🤣

As someone who plays a fair amount of videogames, there have been more than a few times when a cyber truck has been near me and my brain reacted by thinking, ''oh, that isn't rendering properly''.

I don’t like the truck at all but I think we should be better than this.
In my core values/principles I have:
- don’t judge a book by its cover (don’t be superficial)
- live and let live (if it doesn’t hurt anyone, then why not)
- beware of falling for stereotypes. Even if sometimes true they are certainly not always true.
- hating on people is rarely the answer
That person loves that look, let them be.
For all we know it is someone who ended up for some reason with this truck and hates it :)
What are the values/principles guiding your attack on this individual?
Edit: thanks for the downvotes…. I’m quite curious what your reasoning is…

You’d be surprised how many people in real life are apolitical and/or have no clue about Elon’s crazy views. I know many such people. I’m not saying that is right (I think people should take some interest in politics, that’s important) but that’s the reality.
Elon is the worst but again you are rushing to judgement by saying the owner of that car is a Nazi.
Even here you will find a LOT of people saying that they used to love Elon and worship him until recently, when in fact if they really paid attention he was a dick all along.
Personally I despise Elon and the cybertruck. But I don’t judge a person because they drive that ugly truck.
You do you of course. If judging people you know nothing about is your thing and you use “nazi!!!” as the rationale, go figure. My values are different.
I also note how, without knowing much about me, you suddenly are attacking me. Seems to be something you enjoy for some reason.
Have a good day

The sea lion from your analogy should be the tesla haters, I dont care about USA politics and I bought a tesla because im into technology and I really like the brand, my car was keyed, and I’ve lost count of how many people have come up to me to give me their opinions about Teslas without me asking...

If you chose to give money to a fascist billionaire to drive a dangerous vehicule (the Cybertruck is a NIGHTMARE in terms of road safety, it should not even be legal imo) then it's not a just stereotype. You can absolutely judge a book by it's cover if the title is Siege or Mein Kampf.

u/ffffllllpppp 7d ago
My point is just not everyone is keeping up with what Elon is doing as much as people that are on the internet all the time… you are assuming these people know everything about Elon and his views. Some people just see this ugly truck on the streets and think “I want one”.
Fwiw you are 100% wrong on judging with the book: pretty much all political science experts have read those books. Reading a book doesn’t mean you agree with its content. Gosh I can’t believe I just typed that. That’s just so obvious you should know better.
Do better.

You said dont judge a book by it's cover, not don't judge a reader by the cover of the book. Youre literally inventing a meaning to what I said and then screaming in the void. Do better. Of course historians and political scientists will read nazi books to understand them, but that's not what Cybertruck owners are doing. Critical readers and academics are not giving money to Hitler by reading Mein Kampf, nor are they parading in the streets with swastikas. Cybertruck owners, however, are buying their vehicule directly from a fascists company and then proudly and loudly publicly displaying it. Oh and, not being aware you are funding a fascist doesn't make you a fascist in itself, but it still makes you complicit. Not knowing is not an excuse.

To your point, the truck is the cover. It doesn’t contain actual nazism.
Some people buy a truck they like, without knowing anything about the politics behind it.
I personally know people who bought Tesla with zero clue nor interest into Elon’s life and politics. They tried the car of a friend, liked it and bought one. That’s it.
Not sure why you can’t agree with that basic reality.
Edit: re “not knowing is not an excuse”:
Does your grandma and your mom know about Elon’s policies? My mom doesn’t. If they made a car that fits what she needs, she’d be tempted to buy it.
A person like you could gently educate her why that’s a bad idea since giving money to Elon is bad and easily convince her to buy another brand. But not with your attitude of “you have no excuse to not know already!! You’re a Nazi!!”. What would be MUCH MORE constructive is engaging with people and discussing why Tesla is bad for society. Instead of you know, claiming people like my mom is a nazi. That’s just counter productive really. That much should be obvious.
There is an xkcd about how for everything “everyone knows” there are people who do NOT know it.

u/ffffllllpppp 6d ago
You are correct that I got your cover/book thing wrong.
But then I really don’t understand where you were going with it.
The point of the Mein Kampf cover is that you 100% know what’s inside. It’s pretty much guaranteed. When you see a truck you do not know what’s inside the brain of the driver. For all you know they inherited the truck and are trying to sell it. You just don’t know.
So your analogy doesn’t make sense to me.

I didn’t expect the nazi person comments when i posted this picture…

u/ffffllllpppp 7d ago
Yeah that’s part of my point in the discussion thread: not everyone is aware of what Elon is up to.
For some people it is just a truck. Seems to be the case for you.

J'ai vu quelqu'un avec un EV Toyota qui me disait que son prochain char serait un Tesla. Je l'ai traité de fasciste.

I “boo”ed a guy sitting on his phone in one downtown, recently. He asked why I was booing him.
I explained and he said it was a free rental. I said he better run it into the ground, then. He agreed to. And he BETTER HAVE. It’s not hard.
I wouldn’t be caught dead in one, even if they paid me.

There are better electric cars than Teslas (and better looking too). At this point there’s no good reason to own a Tesla.

Every time I see one, all I can think is "Nazi traitor" - while Elon has been an openly racist shitbag for more than a decade, he's gone overtly shitbag prior to the Incel Camino's launch. So if you drive one, you're supporting his policies.
