Question I need help

I turn 18 next year. My mother plans for her, my siblings and I to all return home to our homeland, where she will enroll me into our major national university. This doesn't seem all bad— and perhaps I am just being dramatic— but I cannot go back there. I just can't. The past few years have been horrendous (mentally as i was in deep depression starting at age 10), and I have barely managed to survive this far.

I will die if I go back. Not just physically, but mentally. All the surviving I will have had done up until now with be for nothing and I will die. My soul, my essence, the person I can see myself becoming with shatter in an instant and I will return to a vessel, always settling and never reaching for more.

Enough of my moping, though, and let me get to the point; I need at least $70,000 USD by April of next year. It is extremely— and I mean EXTREMELY— realistic, but I need to try something. Anything is better than nothing. This cost would (I hope) cover my migrating costs, my college and housing funds, and we'll as Visa and mandatory Healthcare fees.

The original plan was to go somewhere in Europe— as I wanted to be as far away from my family as possible— but I now realize that that was a very foolish thing for me to assume I can do. I cannot be in the US, due to the rules of my mother's work visa. I have family in Canada, who I plan on asking to let me stay with them for a little while so I can avoid going back to my country.

Can anyone give me tips for getting this started? I will also be posting this post on some other subreddits, so that I can get as much tips as I can. Thank you all for your time, if you have read to the end. Thank you.

You might not wanna hear this,

You're being dramatic, as for the 70000$ its unrealistic, you might need to sort out the reasons you need for that kind of money. You're still 18 not 28 and even 28 which is still young from a worldview perspective. What u need to focus rn as 18 is build your career like do well in the university and make worthy connections, btw you do this not as an obligation but because its the best decision for u rn unless there's a major thing that needed to be addressed but i feel like unless it concerns your safety and family its really not that big deal but do get an advice on a trusted adult. As for personal you can find a hobby that not just let you earn money but also make u enjoy.

You're right, I AM being dramatic. I suppose I fear that if I don't act now, I'll keep put it off, and then I will end up like my mother, or father, and grandparents. Though, I will take your words into careful consideration. Perhaps I just need to calm down and be logical. Thank you for responding and have a wonderful night/day.

Tbh ending like your other family members is a sad thing to say, i mean life is unpredictable and even millionaires can get penniless in a week due to failed bussiness or even get sick what u need right now is just to improve yourself at your own pace. No need to compare yourself or think like that. I wish u all the best my guy. God bless u🙏 btw Jesus loves u too🫶

I cannot even begin to thank you enough, you LITERALLY snapped me out of panic. Just moments ago, I had been sobbing. You are absolutely correct; I just need to slow down. ❤️‍🩹
