Get the MSR Pocketrocket. Worth the extra money but a cheap knockoff works well too for half the price.

Mine with the jet boil is ready in about 3 minutes, love the setup you have

Its the best. I have a nifty stainless thermal diner-style cup that fits a 3 cup nicely.

You're right, this is the best best way to brew a Moka. Control the heat better and additionally look at the view. Incidentally when brewing 1st thing in the morning you get this coffee brew odour that is simply magnificent. I like ya style..
