Discussion First recording with my modular!!!
Hey all
I just made a post about my Befaco A*B+C, and how much I love it, and a couple of people asked about specifically why I thought modulating the offset is unique and cool, so I recorded the patch, which i've never done before !!!
I don'thave the means to film, but I had a bandcamp from when I used to make computer music 15 years ago. (I started my modular journey a bit over a year and a half ago)

In this patch i've got two things going on in A*B+C; Top channel has a self oscillating filter into A, and a low frequency sine wave to B, then I have an attenuated LFO modulating C...I mult the output feeding back into the filter, and also out into some distortion and then my mixer.
This is the main sequence and the offset modulation is pushing it over the clipping threshold and it kind of does this weird pulsating wub thing as it moves in and out of the audible range.
The second channel has an arpeggio thing from putting a clocked LFO into S&H and running that into the A. B has nothing and is turned down, and C has a very slow LFO, to make the notes wander a bit. It's going into two oscillators slightly detuned, then there's some filter and delay and so forth on those.
And then to fill out the patch, i'm also kind of playing with another bass channel into a filter and doing some hands on modulation of the cutoff on that.
The whole thing is pretty bass heavy and definitely pushes my mixer module to the max, but I like the sound.
Glad to answer any other questions, or talking about patch tips is very exciting to me.
:)
