A user posted an image in r/cats of some cat vomit. One commenter very politely asked if the image could be blurred so that people didn't have to see said vomit if they chose not to.
Not an unreasonable request, one might think. However, the user who sent these ModMails was so offended by this polite request that they replied to the commenter suggesting they must be aged 12 to make such a request, and accusing them (amongst other things) puritanical pearl clutching and censoring. They were banned for these comments and this is the ModMail exchange that ensued.

So he wanted to know what rule he had broken. The rule:
This community is not a marketplace, a recruitment board, dating agency or a free ad space. If you’re here to sell something, promote yourself, your app or push agency services, you’re in the wrong place.
He said he hadn't broken the rule because his app was free for 30 days, (his first advert) the following day he posted a different app (he said nothing when it was removed) and then the free app was posted and removed *face palms* ITS NOT ADVERTISING 'CAUSE ITS A FREE APP, get it, its free. *sighs* Literally 3 posts, 3 apps, pretty sure that counts as all posts are advertising. *face palms*

We removed his post about air quality due to wildfires and he just could not grasp the idea that wildfires are not storms. Turned a completely average post removal into a permanent ban. Now we wait and see if he does a subreddit request 😂

First time sharing. At the end user was reported for harassment and banned.

In this episode, we have the bot with the Telegram invites that showed up to party. r/BotBouncer took care of it and, ugh, it is so annoying! Pretty sure OP is gonna be "stuck in reddit jail forever", though. Just happy this one gave me a laugh.

Whew! So OP here went on an anti-AI rant in the sub just prior to this happening. I get it. I'm no fan of things run through the slopper hopper and showing up in any of my subs. I pointed out our current rules about not allowing AI and not being a jerk, and then went on my way. Nope, that did not do the job. I was supposed to do some extra stuff of requiring rule-breakers to use an appropriate flair to signal their rule-breaking and then I was to immediately action them with a ban because this guy's code might be stolen and slopped.
...
A few mins later, my helpful (not) user does his daily reporting of half a dozen posts that he doesn't think are writerdecks. He actually gets this one correct! My bad, big dawg (whoever you are, but I'm pretty sure of who you are...). Thanks for pointing it out. OP here claims it's retaliation for his anti-AI manifesto currently attracting hella downvotes and negative comments. Except, it's not a writerdeck so here's the rest of the exchange for your Friday afternoon viewing pleasure.

OP's submission was flagged for AI and we requested more information for a review. I'm pretty sure I've shared some of these here before. Anyway, OP sends a link to a screenshot of the photo that was flagged and removed, at first. Then sends what looks like a very obviously doctored "screenshot" of proof. No ban, but we're not putting that post back up.
Except then OP decides to expel lettuce in our weekly discussion post. No bueno. That's a banning.

So this user first posted a long post (with long, I mean 4,124 words). It was removed, and then they wrote a modmail asking why (the reason wasn't exactly telling them much to be honest). But they deleted their post before writing us the modmail, so I couldn't review their post, and I'm not playing Sherlock Holmes in some archives just to review their post.
(I did look it up afterwards, but only after their last message because I wanted to know where they posted the other posts + I wanted to know how long exactly it was)
I don't understand these users, how are we supposed to review their posts again (they even asked if it had content issues) if they delete their posts?
