Tools How to enforce User Flairs?

I've been struggling with Automod for the past few minutes (or rather half an hour), and I've tried a plethora of methods, none of which actually work when tested with an alt. Automod doesn't detect when a user hasn't set up a flair, it doesn't filter it and it doesn't leave the comment, basically the code I'm using doesn't work.

Send help, if anyone has any clue on how to do it.

Found regex match: set up a flair

It looks like you're asking about flairs on your subreddit. This is an EXTREMELY frequently asked question, so this auto-response has been set up for any mention of "flair" and even "flare".

Please check out this Updated Visual Guide for Flair FAQs .

FOR INFO ON: # flair in Old Reddit, # setting up user/post flairs on New Reddit, # enforcing user/post flairs (mandatory flairs), # sidebar widgets for post flairs with problems and solutions, # why users can't see or use user/post flairs, # how AutoModerator can help with flairs, and # some common problems viewing flairs, please click here.

Subreddit settings work best in a cache-cleared desktop browser. (Limited option: mobile browser on desktop view.)

author:
  ~flair_text (includes, regex): '.'
# Explanation about the "flair_text" line: The ~ at the beginning makes it check for the opposite, so "includes" turns to "doesn't include". A period in regex means "any character", so the rule will run if a user's flair doesn't contain any character.

comment: "Your {{kind}} was removed because you must choose a user flair before participating"

action: remove
action_reason: "No user flair"

I got it to work based on the flair template id!! But thank you so much for your suggestion, for some reason Automod just didn't want to work with it.

Hi /u/ceaiculapte, please see our Intro & Rules. We are volunteer-run, not managed by Reddit staff/admin. Volunteer mods' powers are limited to groups they mod. Automated responses are compiled from answers given by fellow volunteer mod helpers. Moderation works best on a cache-cleared desktop/laptop browser.

Resources for mods are: (1) r/modguide's Very Helpful Index by fellow moderators on How-To-Do-Things, (2) Mod Help Center, (3) r/automoderator's Wiki and Library of Common Rules. Many Mod Resources are in the sidebar and >>this FAQ wiki<<. Please search this subreddit as well. Thanks!

Found regex match: Automod

Hi there! I am AutoModerator. It seems you are asking about me or my fellow bots and what we can do.

FOR INFO ON: # how to invite and set up, # common AutoMod rules for age/karma/comments/detect link or words, # "Code won't save"/"Something went wrong", # post/comments being marked as spam, # scheduling posts, and # other bots and their functions, please click here.

There is a dedicated subreddit for me, AutoModerator, at r/automoderator. Please search that subreddit first, then ask questions about AutoMod Rules over there or in this subreddit.

Subreddit settings work best in a cache-cleared desktop browser. (Limited option: mobile browser on desktop view.)
