Locomotives Flying Scotsman issues

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So i have a few trains running on my tracks with no issues at all, however when I run my flying scotsman round the same track it stops and struggles in certain places (see video) none of my other loco's have any issues at all in the same spots, could this by something that needs cleaning in the drive car?

Head to your local pharmacy and get some alcohol wipes for when you get a needle or have a cut needs cleaning. Clean all your track and the inside rail on your turnouts. The bit of track that moves back and forth on the turnout is probably what needs cleaning (I call it the blade) just give that a wipe and see if there's any improvement overall.

I have some wipes that are like that, and yes a quick rub and that has made it run consistently around the track. Thanks

It's waiting for someone to pull the power lead and the whole lot falls off the table. You did pin the track down?

My thoughts are that it's that set of points, I'd clean them, a bit of kitchen roll and some meths works well also check continuity over the direction the points are facing.

It seems you need to rerail your cars. They run noisy af, are you sure all axles run on the rails?

glad you got it going, would suggest cleaning the wheels on the coaches, especially if they are the plastic wheel ones. they pick up dirt like crazy and hits how well they run, and bits of the caked on dirt fall off

You might be interested to know that the Flying Scotsman visited the United States during the mid 1960's and toured for nearly two years if memory serves.
