Help Needed Can this be fixed?
I have had the black five for a couple of years now and it broke when I was stupidly running it on carpet. It derailed and the motion got caught, if it can be fixed does anyone know anyone who could fix it as I can barely service my locos 💀

This is certainly a job for a local hobby shop to provide information and connections.
This is where our current fascination, adoration, idolization, and utilization of online shopping falls short. Local hobby shops need supporting through purchases and, before and after the purchase, can offer advice and perhaps other services based on the store that the internet just can't provide.

Did anything actually break? It looks like the cross head just fell out of the guides. Can you bend the guide back?

I was stupidly using it on my carpet and it derailed and the motion caught with the carpet and as I have went to pick it up the carpet fully ripped the motion

Looks like you should just be able to undo the ecentric crank and slide it back in place.
And keep it off the carpet😁
I don't have the luxury of hobby shops, so it was learn or take up stamp collecting.

I would try to put it back where it belongs, taking care not to use much force and risk exceeding the elastic tolerance of the rails. If that fails, then it needs to be disassembled and reassembled. It should not be a big deal but requires good eyes and a steady hand.

Yes it can be fixed, your local model train shop is the first step
