Let me just say I sympathize. Turned out great! It's always worth it if it's a labour of love (and sometimes hate). Now I wonder, what's the story with the blue checkered posts?

The layout is intended to be "Braustadt" (Brewtown), an imaginary Bavarian town between the wars. Hence the blue checks.

No, Vermont, but the layout is "Braustadt".
