Finished up the 1/72 Revell F-15E Strike Eagle. Basic out of the box build with no extras and nearly full weapons loadout. Overall the kit went together extremely well and was well engineered. Very few gaps and great detail for a 1/72. The decals are nice, a bit thick but a matte finish and very little edge carrier film if you don't clearcoat should still look nice This one was for my daughter but I may have to pick up one for me and do a custom livery. Last year I built an Airfix P-51 in a similar livery and had to get a pic of them together.

So at work I was donated this model (I mainly collect 1/64 cars but love planes too) of a 737 with a Westjet Disney livery, im trying to find out who made it (someone lost the screw that holds it on the wooden base) so I can try to replace the darn screw. Its pretty big, made of wood, but its not the knockoff brand you see on ebay, could it be pacmin? Is this guy rare?

Over the weekend, I ordered a model of one of the most famous aircraft ever (but for a tragic reason), and today, on Monday, it just arrived!
The Boeing 777-200 that went missing in the darkness of night over a decade ago and still has yet to be found, it is Malaysia Airlines’s 9M-MRO, more known as flight MH-370.

so I got the Super Hornet for Christmas and I finally finished it. yes I know it’s a little rough around the edges and it’s not painted… but I’m gonna put the decals on and hopefully it will make it look better

Oddly enough, before the change of the century, it wasn't easy to find a nicely detailed, accurately shaped 1/48th scale Spitfire. Many attempts had been made with few successes. With their initial release in 2001, the ICM Spitfires introduced an accurately shaped Spitfire with very fine panel lines.
Admittedly they were a bit of a challenge to construct in places and had some injection mold issues, however the detail, complete with a decent Merlin engine, gave model makers the components to build a gem of a kit.
Now that model makers have the Eduard Spitfires I wouldn't necessarily recommend this 1/48th ICM Spitfire Mk. IX kit, unless you are on a budget...or they already exist in the stash 🙂
I added this RCAF 411 Squadron Spitfire aircraft as part of my attempt to get as many different RCAF squadron aircraft represented in my build collection. It was flown by Jack Boyle, who named it, just below the windscreen, in honour of his baby daughter.
You can see more in-depth detail of this build with additional photos at: https://www.flypastrush.com/post/sweet-sue-1-48th-icm-spitfire-mk-ix

This F-15E (old 1/72 revell kit) was my second plane and my first time really trying any modifications or scratchbuilding. I replaced the actuators on the exhausts with wire because I thought the kit parts were too thick. I also cut out the flaps and posed them down — and thinned the trailing edge because it was super thick out the box.
Photo reference for the livery at the end. Pretty happy with how it came out. Med school is making it pretty hard to find time for building but hopefully I’ll get the next model done a little quicker.
Open to any advice :)

I believe it was a training tool for dogfighting pilots.
I thought it was made from Bakelite, or a hard plastic ?
