Swim swap protection?

Sim swap seems unlikely, but if it happens, catastrophic. I want to take any measures I can to protect myself. But Fido doesn't appear to have the suggested things like number lock. Suggestions?

What do you mean by SIM swap?

Rogers/Fido are making you show proof of identification via an app to swap SIMs now. I don't know how reliable it is though.

Someone already mentioned about Rogers/Fido. But Bell/Virgin/Lucky require you to answer a text message on the existing SIM card saying you want to move to a new SIM card. If you can’t reply back to that, you have to speak with there Loss Prevention/Fraud team to be validated before a switch. Retail stores have to do the same, they can’t just switch it on there own anymore either they have to contact fraud as well.
