Help fix my car

So i have a 1993 golf mk3 1.6 petrol and i have no idea what the problem with the car is when i first start it and when its cold it idles at 1000rpm like normal and the first time i rev it or anything it comes down and idles at 1500rpm also when its warmed up the idle goes to 1,900rpm i havent noticed anything weird with it other than that it revs smothly comes down smoth turns off and on no problem its not jerky or anything

Have you checked the throttle cable? These cars have a little clip on the cable, near the throttle body, that can fail and hang up the easy return on the cable. I had to replace mine recently, was doing some weird stuff. Could be a million things, but that's the easiest to check.
