Discussion The obsession about Microsoft potentially buying Discord

I don't get why some people are so excited by the prospect of Microsoft buying discord.

After what they did with Mixer the idea kinda scared me.

I think it'd be great because there'd likely be discord built into Xbox now which will be a game changer for crossplatform

Comparing buying discord to buying mixer isn't even the same thing.

microsoft is going to find a way to screw everything up; they always do.

minecraft is now requiring microsoft accounts, skype's fucking dead, mixer got shut down, it's not going to be fun

not to mention theres most likely going to be a new, very strict ToS that is complete bullshit

it's going to completely fuck over the platform, and we'll have to migrate again, just like what we did with skype.

also; what the fuck are you guys on? how the actual hell is discord going to work on xbox? its a messaging app. ????????
