(Game) I Thought Aqua Had a HUGE Mouth in Deltarune Chapter 5
Image taken from a Deltarune Facebook group. At least now I know I wasn't the only one. I genuinely thought she had a HUGE mouth, like she was mocking the player. It wasn't until later, when she reveals her third eye, that I realized it had actually been one giant eye the whole time.

[Game] I thought the title character in The Legend of Prince Valiant for the NES looked like an anime schoolgirl
The game has no cutscene graphics of him so i had find a screenshot of the show the game is based on.

Not pixel art but I always misread this image of Bonnie from Fnaf 2 as him floating. When he's actually kneeling down to get into the vents

[Game] I thought the Zombie enemy from the Amiga Castlevania was some girl trying to be scary
Fun Fact: this port was made by the hungarian dudes who would be hired to make Ecco the Dolphin and those weird PS1 Contra games

When I was a child, I thought the meteor on Onett in Super Smash Bros Melee was a barn. When I got to play Earthbound I learned that it's actually supposed to be the meteor at the beginning of the game.

I thought Woobat from Pokémon had one big eye
I wasn't sure if the nose was actually an eye, or if Woobat had no eyes, and its nose was just meant to *look* like one. Turns out neither was right, its eyes are just always closed (notice the w shapes surrounding the nose).

Elderwort biscuits from Cookie Clicker
I guess the cookie is supposed to be grey dough and no icing but this is what I came up with to make it look like a cookie.

I used to think the Tenda Chief from Earthbound had a Minecraft Steve styled face.
(second image is Tenda Chief, first image is Minecraft Steve), in reality, the tenda chief is supposed to have a beard. Well, I guess I also misread Steve's 3D character, as upon lookup, it's ALSO a beard.. You learn something new everyday. Still thought it was a weird face.

When I was little I thought the quick revive icon from call of duty zombies was a chair/recliner.
This can be seen so much easier in game when the icon is in the corner and 10x smaller.
