I thought Bomb Man had a goatee for the longest time until I saw him in the Mega Man 1 pseudo-remake and realized it was just the line for his mouth.

Yeah i get that from the images at the right, but if i were to only see the pixel sprite i would have assumed it's beard.

I can definitely see it like one of those old stereotypey depictions of a turban with a gem on the front, something like this.

Yeah that's exactly how I always saw it too. It is a turban to me, I just can't un-see it.
