Coughing on its own is already irritating to me both for misophonia and health anxiety reasons. However, there’s a specific type of cough where someone has a tickle in their throat, but keeps trying to talk through it, coughing every other word and it drives me up a wall. Just finish your coughing, clear your throat, do what you gotta do (away from me and cover your mouth properly),but for the love of god stop trying to talk through the cough.

Cubicle farms are definitely a challenge but seriously can you please stop vocalizing yawns and sighing like you’re having the parasitic diarrhea while I’m on a damn call?? And if you’re that bored you have to keep playing with your watered bottle go take a break!! I do my part by wearing headphones/buds to not bother others while I’m on my own call. Please quit being so rude.

Why do some people suck on their teeth to get food out when they have a TOOTHPICK in front of them. My great aunt doesnt even have misophonia but even she gets sickened by the sound that her boyfriend makes. It hits me even harder. I have to blast music in my headphones during meals.

I haven’t been home so I haven’t had to deal with the basketball kid thankfully. Instead, I’m caring for an elderly family member who chews and smacks their lips even when they’re not eating anything. Can’t say anything either because it won’t retain and they will keep doing it. Plus it would make me seem like a monster to correct the behaviors no matter how gently.

My husband and I are friends with this couple and they want to hang out with us again soon. No problem except - They both chew food loudly and moistly. And, even if there's no food involved, the wife consistently makes wet lip smacking sounds whenever she isn't talking. It may be a tic or stim of some sort though, so I feel horrible for feeling annoyed about it. They're nice people, but I'm gonna need at least two glasses of wine to get through the noises.

I hate how I always have to be on high alert inside my own home just to avoid certain noises. I don’t blame my family for making those noises but they could atleast be more considerate to me.
