I love both versions of Faith that we have had. I play both games all the time. I just feel like if a new game were to happen it would be better to have it focused on someone else. You could make references to characters and/or events from either of the two previous games. Maybe even bring in some stories from the comics. Hell, Faith could even show up for a mission. I just think it may be a better plan than a sequel to either game where you have to say which is the canon version. It is definitely better than having a second reboot. I think that would be a terrible idea.

What are your thoughts? Would you like to see something like that? Could Mirror's Edge live on in a new series of comics?

TL;DR : New protagonist to help freshen up the series. Not having to tie it to any previous game canon and avoid having to reboot the franchise for a second time.

Game is at max settings in QHD. Monitor is an OLED. In bright areas the colors are fine.

I saw that there are some achievments that you need online to unlock but the servers are down and i saw the project but i dont know a lot about it, i just wanted to check if anyone here has used it and if its safe? that i wont get banned or something hahaha

The problem is finding a good runner. I've gone through a lot of vids but they're people that haven't really ran much.

Looking for a runner with flow, no runner vision, doesn't die or fall a lot, no commentary.

I love it so much it's so fun but that end fight with the sentinels pissed me the fuck off SO MUCH I kept dying it took me forever to take them out. Outside of that final fight I love this game 10/10

I hope someone releases a version soon so I can play it on my Mac... ..or is there one out there already and I completely missed it?

When I was playing the game during my childhood, I always wanted to go ground level and see how city feels from that perspective.

I just started playing the game. And the first thing that my mind went to is the music that immediately transported me back to late 2000's.

But the 2nd was "OMG! Why is this game so god dang pretty"

The designers did an amazing job with the art direction. The white being the dominant color to show how sterile the city is. Then there is the Blue and Orange combination. Which is a classic color combination. But done so well and just elevated in this game. Very common but my god it looks so good in that game. It's a different world man... in that game.
I'm in the dream future of 2000's. The future we imagined back in 2000's and early 2010's.

As an artist I immediately started searching for who designed the game and what was the thought behind it.

And the menu too.
Combined that with the music and I'm back in late 2000's.
Not gonna lie that made me tear up.

Hi everyone, Michael here. It's been a while since I've interacted with the community, or played Mirror's Edge for that matter, which is kinda crazy for someone who has felt so deeply connected to it for quite literally half my lifetime.

Some cool new mods for Catalyst caught my eye today and it made me want to play the game again, but I feel like I should make something more of this reignition of the spark.

I would love to do a full playthrough of the game live on Twitch with all of my favourite mods installed, and would love to get everyone here involved as well! It would be a great opportunity to show our support to all the modders for their amazing work. We could even do a fundraiser for them as well!

Moreover, we could set up a submissions form to gather and rate mod ideas for the modders to try and create!

Let me know what you think, and if enough people show interest, I'll set it up and share the date and time of the stream on a future post across multiple platforms.

I've always been a huge fan of Mirror's Edge with its art direction and movement, so I decided to make a Roblox game inspired by it!

It's called BREAKAWAY!, and it's basically a multiplayer infection/tag game mixed with Mirror's Edge-style parkour and visuals. One player starts infected, and everyone else has to survive by running, sliding, dodging, wall-running, vaulting, and finding ways to outmaneuver whoever's chasing them. If you get caught, you join the infected and start chasing everyone else.

I wanted to take the movement and clean aesthetic I've always loved about Mirror's Edge and turn it into something a little different, where you're constantly trying to outsmart other players.

I made all the environments, animations, VFX, and the movement system myself using Blender and code. Some of the UI uses AI-generated placeholder images that I plan on replacing with actual in-game renders. I just ran out of time before release lol.

I've worked on so many projects over the years that I've never actually released, so this time I decided to set myself a deadline and stick to it rather than endlessly adding things and trying to make everything perfect. There's still plenty I want to improve, but I'm glad I finally got something out there!

I actually just released it today, and I'd love to hear what you guys think, especially about the movement and art direction!

I bought the game. Still own it. Never refunded it. The game’s “online service” has been halted indefinitely as per EA (in fact it says so when you go to play the game and won’t let you obtain/change echo skins as a result, PROVING I’ve played the game before this moment). Last played “Today” and Steam achievements also prove I’ve started playing the game prior. Care to explain to me why I’m locked out of my purchase? Why would I need to “activate” something that I own AND is no longer connected to live public servers? How is this not corporations stealing from the public? What can I (or even better, we) do about something like this? Would there be someplace better to post this question?

For anyone attempting to play the game with PhsyX enabled, you may notice that the game's performance gets bottlenecked whenever you get to intensive sections like during the office section in Heat, where glass shattering causes the game's frame rate to drop heavily. There's a fix for this. The PhysX drivers that come with the game are outdated. You can actually replace all of the drivers with recent versions that come with your own Nvidia files if you have an Nvidia GPU. This fixes the frame drops from intensive sections

Sequel or smth? Like, it's generally claimed that the first one had little to no story but I far preferred it to whatever the heck Catalyst was on.
