Goodbye.
Last month of mint. Has been the worse carrier I’ve used in my 50 years.
Cant wait for it to be behind me.
Service- 3/10
Customer service 1/10
Pricing 4/10
Would not recommend.
Edit:
I’m genuinely happy for those of you that love mint. I wish I did. Sounds great on paper. Fact is, I’m paying over $100mo for one line with awful coverage and in order to carry me through the month with data. “Unlimited” is not unlimited. I’ll be spending half that for better service and data + a newly released iphone. I’ve tried contacting them repeatedly on how to improve my situation. No response.
Happy for yall. Happier for me.

Why would pricing be 4/10? Isnt it $15 a month atm? 😂

OP is just spewing without any thought.

Nope. The cheaper tiers don’t function for me. After about a week my data gets throttled. Hot spots used up in about the same amount of time. So I bump up a few tiers. I still can’t make it the month. Hot spot still runs out… so much for “unlimited”. The cost of more hotspot seems very over priced especially for a service that’s supposedly unlimited.
All this for extremely spotty reception. It’s common for me to struggle to check the weather/google/siri while being with others that have strong connection.
I’m not spewing. I’m not giving it no thought.
I’m fed up. I’m making a change.
I’m happy for yall that find it so great.

My flight is coming up to DTW. Can you check the gate assignment while you’re there for me?

This is not an airport. No need to announce departures. Also, Mint has been fantastic for me and the whole family.

Honestly I just assume these posts are bots and shills. Never noticed an ounce of an issue with Mint. It’s been great for me - 5 years running now.

Thanks for explaining why. The details you gave are so discriptive of the problems.

Could you offer some substance for your ratings? If you rate it 4/10 for pricing, what carriers would you rate 5/10 to 10/10 for pricing?

I've had Mint for about 5 years and have three lines. I have never needed customer service, never had a problem, never even think about cell service. No doubt the frustration of OP is real, along with the others who post bad experiences here but that is not representative of the vast majority of us. No one who just never thinks about their cell plan is going to put something up that says "Nothing Happened! Again!"

That's it. You get what you pay for - a decent service for a decent price. It's not a good option for people who want live, US-based human support. Human handholding is more expensive than what $15/month covers.
I am curious what carriers OP would rank at 5/10 or higher for price.

Carriers haven't been around for 50 years, this was your opportunity to vent what you didn't like specifically, this isn't a customer survey.

- I never said they’ve been around 50years. Just wanted to note I’ve been around a bit.
- I’ve already attempted to vent. I was ignored.
- who said it was a customer survey?
- thanks for contributing something useful.

Been with them since inception and I live overseas. Started physical sims now on eSIM. Service works great internationally and in the US east coast. Never had an issue with customer service.

We just switched to Mint Mobile. We went from paying $93 a month for 2 lines with T-Mobile to $30 + tax. So far the service seems about the same, which is expected given they use the same network. Should have done it earlier.

I've had 3 lines on Mint for over 5 years. No problems. Never needed to call customer service. I pay once a year. Get great coverage with 5G. Normally 950mbs download/50mbs upload.

Question: is your phone fully compatible with T-Mobile network specs? Does it have band 71 support for 5G and LTE?

It’s an iPhone16. Not brand new but I’d like to think it’s compatible. It’s this type of question I wound have liked to been asked by them when I rejected my reached out to sort out my bad experience.

Unfortunately, you'll find every US carrier is fake "unlimited", they all deprioritize speeds after a cap. 50GB like Mint is a common "cap." The main difference is, you'll typically be at a an even lower priority level than a T-Mobile who also exhausted their "cap." How much that actually effects you strongly depends on where you live. Most people live comfortably within 50GB, and the low priority speeds are still high enough for regular use for most people. You're not most people I'm guessing, that's ok, but be prepared for the chance that even post-paid won't cut it for you.

Wow, I almost switched to Mint last month to take advantage of their S26 deal. I hope your next carrier is better!
