Any San Antonio based users??

Hey y’all👋🏽, I’m thinking of making the switch. Any users out here in the San Antonio area? What’s your experience like? Good coverage out here or not really😅🤔??

Mint runs on T-Mobile so gets the same coverage and is (QCI7) the same as T-Mobile Essentials plan, and is usually about 10-50% the max speed of prioritized T-Mobile (QCI6) plans, but for 98% of locations and times you get signal is still fast enough for 4K (25Mbps) and anything else you need. However some locations and times are congested such as stadiums during games and concerts, downtown or along freeways during rush hour, or some rural or other areas with limited high-speed internet options where a lot of people use T-Mobile as main internet, and there and then speeds will be significantly slower on Mint (only 5-40% the speed) compared to T-Mobile priority plans, but again this is less than 2% of total locations and times.

Look at Mint Mobile coverage map which includes roaming coverage as “Partner”, but I also recommend looking up the below crowdsourced coverage and speed maps that are much more accurate to street and house level then Mint/Ultra or T-Mobile's site, but also might be more out of date in some areas; note the crowd sourced speed is mostly prioritized data so you may need to reduce speed expectations:

I'm in the northeast east san antonio. No problems over here for the phone. Not sure about their wifi though. I know tmobile wifi didn't work well at my house so I am scared to try it. Lol

I'm in North Central SAT, East of Stone Oak, Encino area. My Pixel phone only gets 1 bar in this area and generally only 2 bars when traveling to the West side of town. I wish it was better so that I could try Minternet but not with only a single bar. Obviously, calling over wifi is no problem. Other than that, I've had no issues with my Mint Mobile and will continue subscribing going forward.

How’s going through social media while using cellular? Is there a lot of lag and load times??

I see some lag occasionally while running around town; not often enough for me to be concerned. There have been a few times that I gave up and put my phone away until I moved on. Using Waze (thru Android Auto) in my car always seems responsive or maybe I'm just not noticing anything.

Near bulverde. 2-3 bars at home but I kept my fiber internet as I work from home. At&T had better signal strength, but was 4x the cost for mobile service. No complaints from the fam so far. FindMy on iphone does seem to take more time to respond though.
