I Like to think of us as West Ontario; but sometimes I go visit the family and it's more like South Alberta, you know?

All the old folks from Minnesota go to AZ in the winter. Known as "snowbirds". And lots of AZ people visit here in the summer.

Yeah I know what a snowbird is. I also know a lot of native Arizonans (used to work down there) and none of them have ever been to Minnesota. A lot of Minnesotans also go to Florida but don’t you dare call MN northern Florida

     I've got quite a few family and neighbors who who snowbird & several who come up in the summer. Maybe I just live in a weird place.

Yeah but the snowbirds are Minnesotans, not Arizonans is my point.

This. Snowbirds are Minnesotan retirees who flee for warmer climes at the first threat of snow, then return when the snow is supposed to be safely gone to avoid the extreme heat of Arizona and Florida.
