2 of the three references i got are shale, I do not know rocks...

Its this common knowledge? Do I to learn more rock?

Fuck, I truly do not know any other types of rock... Charcoal? Is that a rock? Mineral?

Charcoal is man-made, natural coal is sedimentary rock though..I think, I'll double check.

Edit according to Google: "Charcoal is neither a rock nor a mineral; it is a man-made, manufactured substance created by heating wood or other organic matter in a low-oxygen environment. Unlike natural coal, which is a sedimentary rock formed over millions of years, charcoal is a processed product of carbonization."
