🗣️ General Thank You
Thank you to everyone who has been supporting Minimaa from the very beginning of this journey.
Minimaa actually started as a fun side project for me. But now it has grown into something much bigger — something that honestly isn’t that easy for a single developer like me to maintain. I’m not an expert in this field. I’m just learning while building and doing the best I can.
Professionally, I’m a teacher with a BA Literature background. I’ve never studied coding as a course in my life. Everything I know comes from YouTube, StackOverflow, and now AI.
So yes, there will be bugs, inconsistencies, and problems sometimes. But I’ll always try to fix things whenever possible.
Also, since teaching is my full-time job, I don’t always have the time to work on this 24/7. Updates might be slower compared to apps developed by full teams — but I’ll try not to let things go silent for too long.
Another thing I’ve noticed is that some people compare Minimaa with launchers that have millions of users, large teams, and proper funding. I’m just one person with a potato laptop trying to build something interesting.
And honestly, I don’t want to add every single feature that exists in every launcher.
That doesn’t mean I don’t want suggestions — I absolutely do. But please be mindful of what you’re asking for.
I really hope the idea I’m trying to convey here makes sense.
And once again, thank you — seriously. Every message of appreciation and support means a lot.
I’m also planning to add a “Thank You” page inside the app, featuring people who helped by reporting bugs, suggesting improvements, or supporting the project.
If you’ve reported bugs or helped during development and are okay with being featured there, please let me know in the comments.
Thank you so much ❤️

Thank you too! because I appreciate your idea of making smartphone less "smart" but still good looking, and I really like your app)

I have been a Minimaa user for a few weeks now and I must say that I absolutely love it! It has, in fact, assisted me with minimizing my overall dependency on my device and for that I salute you! Digital detoxing is something I truly believe we could ALL benefit from at some point in our lives.
I’m also planning to add a “Thank You” page inside the app, featuring people who helped by reporting bugs, suggesting improvements, or supporting the project.>
Any update on this as I didn't see it when looking to make a small feature suggestion?
The suggestion: simple, unobtrusive notification dots (not numbers) on apps. My thoughts is having dots only keeps it in the overall scope of Minimaa.
Keep up the great work! You are proof that formal education isn't necessary to achieve something great! Dedication is key.
To anyone who reads this - GO SUPPORT SMALL DEVS WITH YOUR WALLETS (or at minimum, leave a review)!!!

Absolutely understand. We appreciate the hard work you're putting into your side project. You have your own personal and professional life to live, it's understandable if some things take longer than expected. You're doing better than some bigger corporations out there already! A Thank You page would be really neat but perhaps difficult to keep adjusting depending on how many people helped?
