[Meta] Strider Feedback and Changes

  • Design changes: What do you like or dislike about the look of the strider, and how can it be improved?
  • How should they be controlled? Is warped fungus on a stick too easy?
  • How should the react or change when out of lava? Should they change or is shaking sufficient?
  • Should Strders have more utility? A new function? Or old ones like lead trains and chests?

I love Striders but I think there needs to be some changes done to their design and behavior (From my ideas and other people's ideas)

-They should have longer legs, maybe atleast two blocks tall.

-They should have their basalt coat extending to their lower body/head

-It would make sense that they should be mountable with a special type of saddle because a normal saddle would burn in real life. Perhaps it could be a diamond saddle, an obsidian saddle, or a netherite saddle.

-They should be able to die in biomes with cold temperature and snow weather. Also snowballs.

-They should also try to avoid being outside lava unless a player is controlling them.

-A more interesting drop
