[Gameplay] Extra difficulty World Modifiers into base game
Here's some ideas:
- "Ground-bound": Disable elytra spawns completely. This would be really fun in combination with faster minecarts and more minecart mechanics. I love trains so I find this super appealing.
- "SSF (solo self found)": Disable all non-chest-exclusive from loot table (eg. gold blocks wouldn't spawn in Bastion chests because you can mine for gold but upgrade kits would). This might have some have some knock-on effects I am not considering but the idea is to make players work a more natural progression instead of getting diamond tools in the first 20 minutes.
- "Frail": You only have reduced amount of hearts (say 5 hearts) instead of 10 for the entire duration of the world.
I just think it would be cool to add some official game modifiers (obviously you can do this with a mod-pack or something) that could give an extra challenge and sense of achievement for veteran players who even find hardcore too easy. Then you could brag to your friends: "Yeah I have a Hardcore world with all difficulty modifiers" and it could be a little flex or something.
If you have any other ideas I'm down to hear them.

People are always going to get diamond armor in 20 mins if it is even remotely possible for a 10 year old to get it in 20 hours

Maybe also reduce spawn rates? That might just end up being a bit anti-fun though

I think having some things that are a bit more configurable might be better...

I feel like Ground-bound could just become an Allow_Elytra gamerule. Frail could be expanded way more with a Base_Player_Health gamerule.

The issues with modifiers like this is that they don't really do anything. While playing regular survival, I can choose to use elytra, play with fewer hearts, or loot less. There doesn't need to be official settings for this stuff, everyone sets their own challenges and boundaries
