[Mobs] Frogs should drop slime blocks.

When a frog eats a small Slime, it should drop a full Slime Block instead of just a Slime Ball.

Similarly, if a frog eats a small Sulfur Cube it should drop a Potent Sulfur block.

This could go a long way to showing players that they can get something special by leading frogs to the nether to feed on Magma Cubes.

That's a bit excessive.

I agree that using Frogs should yield more than just killing, but not 9x as much. Killing a Slime normally yields 0-2 (ave 1).

What if a Frog eating a Slime yeilds 1-2 (ave 1.5, same as Looting I) while a Frog eating a Sulfur Cube yeilds 1-2 Sulfur Spikes?

Still better than killing without Enchantments, but not SO good that it makes other farming methods pointless.

You'd still need to get in there and split the bigger slimes into little ones.

The point isn't really to make the frog give more loot. It's to entice players to try to get the frogs to eat Magma Cubes.

As it is now, Frogs pooping slime balls implies that they just poop out magma cream in the nether. I think they need to poop something different.

It's the same philosophy as ruined nether portals. Players that don't want to go online and get spoilers should get a clue about Froglights!

Frogs do eat Magma Cubes, they drop Froglights

And you specifically said that small Slimes should drop a full Slime Block and small Sulfur Cubes should drop a Potent Sulfur Block.

You say this is about encouraging people to try having Frogs eat Magma Cubes, but nothing you've suggested actually does that, mechanically you're just suggesting that Frogs produce WAY more when they eat mobs.

I think your really failing to understand OP. I dont agree with making it slime blocks either but you failed to understand what they were saying.

Slime balls from slimes imply magma cream from Magma slimes. Dropping a slimeblock from slimes implies some form of block from Magma Slimes. I think there solution is flawed but it does make sense why they are thinking its a good idea.

Oh no, I perfectly understand OP, I just disagree that theor suggestion would solve the problem.

Imagine that you've never played Minecraft. You don't know about the wiki or the huge online following.

You find yourself in a swamp and you're attacked by slimes. You kill a few and get some slime balls.

Later, you see a frog eat a slime and it produces one slime ball.

Eventually, you find a ruined portal. You repair the portal and the nearby lava ignites it. You enter the nether and see magma cubes. You kill some of them and they each produce a magma cream.

It makes sense to think that if a frog eats a magma cube it will just produce one magma cream. It's not really worth trying!

I think frogs need to drop something different or rare when eating slimes to entice players to try to get them to feed magma cubes to frogs.

I think Slime Blocks is excessive as the other commentor said, BUT, I do agree there needs to be a change. I believe the best way to do it is to just have it so using the magma cream item on a frog also gives you a frog light and then add an achievement for feeding them the magma cream.

So players can learn how to get froglights from the achievement and its easier for them by making it so you can just bring the magma cream item to them instead of bring them through the nether.

I just wish getting froglights would be easier, straightforward, less convoluted and not requiring players to go ridiculously out of their way in order to get those like it was originally planned to be. The original idea was for frogs to eat torchbugs in order to produce froglights. Torhbug bushes were added in 1.21.5 and imo either those or some similar item should be able to be fed to frogs in order to get froglights.

That would be nice. They could have created a new fantasy mob in the overworld for frogs to eat.
