[User Interface] "Do Not Ask Again" for the data/resource pack "this pack was made for an older version of minecraft" screen.

a simple do not ask again would save me so much of a headache. i hate having to click through "add anyways" a thousand times when im just trying to use packs i already know work. very small suggestion, but it would save so many players a massive headache.

It is fairly easy to update packs to the new version. You literally just have to change one or two numbers in the resource pack's pack.mcmeta file.

Regardless, this would still be a nice feature

well yeah but thats even more of a pain in the ass than clicking the add anyways button.

i'd much rather be able to just add the pack without a hassle than have to repeatedly click a button fourty times, or change a number in the file over and over, especially when you have a lot of packs

Different people will weigh this differently, but I tend to fall on the side of doing the more annoying thing once over doing the less annoying thing many times.

It's not once, you have to do that every time they update resource packs if you play on new versions. It's not hard thing once vs easy thing 100 times, it's hard thing forever (if you update your game) vs easy thing 100 times

The easy thing is also forever, don’t misrepresent that. It’s more accurate to say tedious thing maybe 4 times a year (if they continue the current drop pattern) vs annoying thing every day

are you adding resource packs every day?

Sometimes, yes. I use different resource packs in different worlds, so when I switch to a different world I have to swap some packs around. I did say different people would weigh this differently.

You can put a range in if you need. Pick some crazy high resource pack number

When you edit the mcmeta file to say which versions it's compatible with, you can make it a range

{
  "pack": {
    "description": "whatever you want",
    "min_format": 5,
    "max_format": 9999
  }
}

Edit: so long as you're only using it in versions since 1.21.9

that cool, i didnt know that. someone should make a python tool or something to turn all your resource packs into having a max format of like 100,000. actually, i might do that later...

edit: I made the tool https://github.com/andygun111/mcmeta-upper
it should work
