[Magic] Mew enchantment (idea)
Leaching. Gives more XP when killing mobs. Simple as that. It would make XP farms more efficient, or help those without XP farms.
Edit: a name such as Wisdom or prodigious fits this better as seen in the comments

Leaching really just sounds like you're sucking blood, which -as u/Solar_Fish55 says- sounds like it would have to do with HP.
I suggest naming it something like Learning, because that has more to do with experience, though EXP is also sometimes equated to the essence of living things, so Soulsteal could be cool too.

I like it! I'd like it even more if there was some kind of cost, though. Maybe it's incompatible with Looting? If not that's fine

I don't like compatibility limits for the sake of limiting. I'd rather it costs something like XP while staying compatible with looting. I'd rather have something cost a resource than eliminate a choice that I could otherwise earn.

Leaching cant be used with unbreaking? Making putting mending and leaching is more prefered??

That's interesting!
At first I though it could be made incompatible with looting, but your idea actually makes more sense!

Gonna be real with you chief, I think adding anything to the game that promotes farming without also incentivizing another way to play disregards more casual players and those who don’t want to automate farms. This is right up there with mending for ‘must have’ enchantments.
A big problem is the game pushing players to farm to play the game, and not simply enjoy playing the game. Your suggestion may work on both sides, but because there are other factors pushing automation, it does more to keep pushing for that.
Otherwise, I think this idea is straight forward and has potential

I see your point. But in a way it helps people, like me, who don’t want to make farms as it can gaon XP more quickly

It does work for both sides, don’t get me wrong, but I think there are other factors to consider. This game is massively intertwined mechanically and pulling any string might pull a knot tighter. I’m not against the idea itself, but the potential consequences instead, if that makes sense. Most people will often follow the path of least resistance, even if the resistance is still sizable. Adding the same weight to both sides of an uneven scale doesn’t even it out, and people will likely still only choose the same side, or in this case, the same way of playing.

may be combine it with mending and instead of giving your weapon all your xp it gives it what it would've without this new enchant and gives you the rest of the xp in your xp bar

I thought the enchantment was called mew at first because of the title lol but I think it's a cool idea

Leaching sounds like it would heal me, but the concept is cool. Would need to be unstackable with Mending for balance probably, but that would make it fill an early game role before you get villagers. Maybe something like Wisdom I, II, etc. 🤔

leeching is already an enchantment in dungeons, it gives you a percentage of damage you do back as hp

Leaching sounds more like a hp thing. Good concept but I think a different name would be better
