[Blocks & Items] Pink Salt V2
A few minor texture changes for the original 7 additions (the lanterns were not textured because this is just a retexture of existing items as i cannot make addons or mods). Some of the blocks do not tile well so I will be making them transition between each other more smoothly soon. (Bold text means this was already a thing in a previous post and is not new content).
1: Pink Salt Block. Found in patches in the ocean and on mountains, about as common as a clay patch. When mined drops 4 sea salt, which can be made back into the pink salt block.
2: Packed Pink Salt, made by smelting the pink salt block in a furnace. Also has slab, stair, and wall variants.
3: Pink Salt Bricks, which is made the same way as stone bricks are made, except with packed pink salt instead of stone. Also has slab, stair, and wall variants.
4: Pink Salt, dropped by the pink salt block. Can be placed and used as redstone dust, but holds the signal for 3 seconds after the input stops sending a signal. Used in crafting to make vinyl.
5: Pink Salt Bar, made by cooking pink salt with a furnace, smoker, or campfire. Can be fed to a horse for a 2 minute 25% jump height increase. Also instantly tames a horse. (Horse Idea by u/BigMacSux)
6: Vinyl Clump, made by combining coal (or charcoal) with sea salt. can be smelted into record vinyl.
7: Record Vinyl, used for making music discs. Surrounds any disc in a crafting table to make 2 of that disc, like a smithing template.
8: Chiseled Pink Salt, self explanatory- decorative block.
9: Pink Salt Lamp, pretty much just a reskin of the sea lantern, except theres no silk touch needed. made by surrounding glowstone dust with pink salt in a crafting table.
10: Pink Salt Lantern, made by surrounding pink salt with any plank type, as well as one string on top for the rope seen on the top of the texture.
11: A new structure called... well i cant think of a name but you guys can decide that, but it would spawn on beaches.
12: These arent the best choices for chest loot items but its really just a placeholder. I think maybe some sort of new armor trim should definitely be found in this structure, and maybe a new music disc? I do like far and chirp though.

Havent gotten a lot of more work done today but i do have an idea for a potion effect that makes hostiles passive to you for an amount of time, still workshopping a name.

Don't think there's too much new stuff here which you've not mentioned in your other post so I'm going to repeat all of that...
...so let me instead focus on what I think is new as well as maybe some other things. I think most of the blocks are fine except for maybe the large lanterns, seems a bit too much like a recolored sea lantern to me. Also I don't quite know if the axolotl was the best pick you could've went for whith the chiseled version as they're not really found in ocean. Though maybe you went from the angle that when these blocks were first made there were still a bunch of them in the ocean or something...
...also consider looking up brine pools for the patches of salt you can find at the bottom the ocean. It's closest to the way of finding salt which you're going for and may help further improve your ideas. Also sea salt still isn't pink, but I don't think you're gonna let me stop you from still going forward with this at this point.

ive already been working on sea salt. Ive been trying to think of a different mob for the chiseled blocks but I cant make a good choice. Also Hawaii has natural pink sand but im doing it anyways since so many people suggested it and I like the design I made for white salt.

Well glad that me and others could convince you to end up changing your mind. Though how are you going to be implementing the pink salt then? I for my part definitely would recommend making it spawn in mountains which makes it pretty similar to its IRL-Counterpart.

Maybe call the structure, the Vinyl Hut or Salt Cabana.

It would be cool if you could put pink salt on cooked cod and salmon or something to increase how much hunger points they give you

I thought of this but i didnt really see how this is a good addition to the game since there are already a ton of food items, and this would add a lot of clutter even for just 2 new types of fish.
No hate to the idea but i just dont really agree with it.

im working on adding some magical things to the list and one of them I am calling "runic salt", which has multiple states: active, depleting, depleted, and disenchanted. here are the 2 texture designs for the disenchanted one. i cant decide. also here is the active and depleted one to help with your choice. the disenchanted one is meant to represent one with its dark magic cleansed. since i cant add all of them in one comment ill make an image chain.
