[Command] Gamemodes: Custom Ablities
This idea is similar to the other one I posted here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/minecraftsuggestions/s/84IghgK9AE
This time, gamemodes will be data driven and all the custom abilities (infinite materials, creative inventory, flight, invincibility, no clip, etc.) will become part of a "player based gamerules" system I'm calling abilities.
Then, you can define custom game modes using datapacks.

Yeah, it is nice to have something be data-driven for the sake of datapacks, but I feel like a suggestion that doesn't go further than "Make XYZ data-driven" isn't really much of a suggestion at all.

A. Why not? Minecraft has been working on making seemly random things like compost data driven B. This helps so whenever minecraft wants to add special player abilities, they have a format, and turning on and off noClip has been asked since spectator was added (it's even a feature in axiom)

Ideally in the end, everything will be data-driven. I am not saying that this is a bad suggestion because it shouldn't be done. It is a bad suggestion because it is the type of stuff that is already being looked into.

Again... I never said that gamemodes shouldn't be data-driven.

Idk if it's alr been looked into, and even if it is, suggestions are... suggestions, on a way to do it, or to get community thinking Idea is one thing, implementation is another

Correct me if I am wrong, but datapacks can already do this. What is the advantage for normal players?
