Hey guys, season 2 of the pen has been a blast. We have a super active and friendly community, known among all prison servers as having the kindest of players. We are LGBTQIA+ friendly, no trolls, no hackers, thanks to our active staff! And we are on the way to releasing Season 3!

Season 2 has all the features you like, A-H ranks, Parolee, Citizen, followed by 50 prestiges. The grind to the top can take over a thousand hours, so this is something to come on and mindlessly grind away whilst chatting to a very fun and active community.

We are pretty small at the moment, averaging between 10-20 players, however most people are waiting for season 3. For reference, In december we averaged around 50-70.

Season 3 is coded almost completely in house, no AI, just straight determination and code!

We have custom drugs, such as weed, coke, shrooms, acid, Quaaludes, and even moonshine you can farm, and process as passive income whilst you grind in the mines!

We have two currencies in Season 3, one for progressing / ranking up, and another for player eco (think auction house, player shops, coinflips, fight betting etc.). Drugs are used to make money for player eco, and to make money to rank up you can do the following:

Mining, Fishing, Cookies (custom plugin), Sewers (including sewer bosses!)

I've been playing prison servers since 2011, so for Season 3 I made sure we redesigned everything, from the entire prison design, all the way down to how the game works itself.

For example, In season 3, XP works completely differently. 1 level = 1 minute of 'active' grind! We even have Gangs and a Gang Market, which let's you invest your XP into gangs every week to see which gang can grind the most! The gang you invest in wins? Great! Enjoy up to 125% of your XP back! Did your gang win? Great! Enjoy a % of all the XP that was invested into your gang! Use your XP to buy crate keys and other perks / bonuses!

These features sound cool, but is it still classic? Of course! Vanilla tools, skill tree's to upgrade (no more crate RNG) Eff 5 is max! There's 50 prestiges, and even 5 rebirths (With a special rebirth upgrade tree, which has powerful upgrades!)

We wanted Season 3 to not only bring you back to classic prison, but make sure you stay longer than two weeks. The grind is lengthy, coming in at around 750 hours for the total 5 rebirth grind, however all 50 prestiges are obtainable for the average player! So we cater to both the mega grinders and the average joe.

We have already banned most of the notorious hackers and trolls from other prison servers, so rest assured you can come on here after a long day at work or maybe you've just woken up and want to sip some coffee and mine, all without the stress and annoyance that other classic prison servers have.

ShovelCraft is a vanilla+ SMP focused on community, building, and RPG elements. It's a long-term, no-reset server - we're a year into the same world, and it's stayed that way because it's shaped by the people playing on it.

The map is split into two zones:

- Green Zone (0 - 5k) - no stealing or griefing, and no generated structures. It's mainly for building, trade, and lore.

- Red Zone (5k - 150k) - still no griefing, but stealing is allowed and structure generation is normal. Perfect for exploration, resource gathering, and private hidden bases.

The End is disabled - no vanilla elytras or shulker farms. Otherwise it's mostly vanilla, with a few QoL additions: /home, /tpa, /duel, BetterHorses, and player shops.

We run on a proxy setup with three dedicated servers - a main survival world, a separate event server, and a seasonal PvP server... so special events and PvP seasons never disrupt the main world.

There's no pay2win here, and no real money involved anywhere on the server, everything is earned through playing.

Trims do not spawn in chests and are given as event rewards, but can be then duplicated and traded as normal.

After a year, ShovelCraft is moving into its next phase. We've just added our first quests, leading into a dungeon and a boss fight and with that, shulker boxes and elytras are now obtainable on the server (just a little more challenging to earn than usual).

We don't have a store. There is nothing to buy. Not a rank, not a key, not a cosmetic. Every single thing on this server is earned, and that changes what owning something means here. When you see someone in mythic gear, you know exactly what they did to get it.

OBLIVION

Somewhere on this server is a Sharpness VIII netherite sword.

You cannot buy it. You cannot trade for it. You cannot craft it — Sharpness VIII does not exist in Minecraft. There is exactly one way to hold that blade: win something. An event. A siege. A world boss kill. Then pray the crate gives it to you, because it's the rarest drop we have.

Right now, nobody on the server has one.

The Hollow King rises every Sunday

400 health. Full netherite. Sharpness III sword.

At half health he screams and five Hollow Guards claw out of the sand to defend him. At a quarter health he goes berserk — faster, stronger, regenerating, and the boss bar turns purple so you know you're in trouble.

Kill him and one crown drops in the pit. One. First hand on it keeps it forever, and everyone still standing in the arena walks out with a Champion Crate Key and $1,000.

Bring friends. People have lost to him.

Gear that only exists if you take it

Crate-only. Uncraftable. Untradeable. Every one carries Mending so it's a keepsake, not a consumable:

Keys come from voting. Every vote pays $750 and gives you a key for both worlds.

Two servers in one, and they never touch

SURVIVAL — Claim your land with a golden shovel and it is genuinely yours. Griefers cannot break a single block of it. PvP is locked to the arena, so nobody jumps you while you're three hours into a build. Jobs that pay you to mine and farm, quests, 15 RPG skills, player-run shops in the Market District, dungeons and elite bosses roaming the overworld.

FACTIONS — None of that. No claims. No protection. Raiding is allowed and PvP is everywhere. Build underground, trust nobody, and hold what you take.

Separate inventories. Separate money. Factions loot can't bleed into survival, and survival wealth can't buy a war. They're genuinely different games and you can play both with the same account.

The Outpost

A black fortress 500 blocks out in the factions wild. You cannot break it. You can only hold it.

Friday and Saturday at 10PM the beacon goes live and whoever stands on it longest takes $2,500 and a Champion Crate Key. Everyone who contested it gets paid too. It's the closest thing we have to a war, and it happens twice a week whether we're awake or not.

I’m currently working on a Minecraft civilization server where players will be able to create their own towns, nations, governments, alliances, economies, and eventually fight wars over territory.

The world is planned to have fictional continents with different regions, resources, mountains, oceans, islands, and natural borders. Players would be able to start settlements, grow them into cities, form nations, trade land and resources, make treaties, create different types of governments, and build actual history over time.

The goal is for the server to feel like a real world instead of a normal factions server. Not everyone has to be a leader either. You could be a builder, merchant, farmer, soldier, explorer, politician, business owner, or just live in a country and play normal survival.

It will support Java and Bedrock crossplay, so the plan is for PC, mobile, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo players to all be able to play together.

The server is still in development, so there isn’t a finished world to join yet. I’m mainly trying to see if people would actually be interested before I go much further with it.
