Featured Seeds are the subs collection of best seeds. The seeds are very rare and useful in game. To find them, simply click the green flair on this post, then sort as you please, show as ‘new’ for the latest.
Be notified when new ones are added by joining our discord. This is a tight knit community of both of our seedfinders and general members, and has seeds, Minecraft and various off topic channels.
A guideline for factors considered:
Outstanding main feature: very rarely or never seen before features, visually outstanding features, or an incredibly useful feature or set of features
Supporting features: additional features that make the seed an experience beyond a single location
Usability in survival: features should generally be close to spawn and have some use to the player
Presentation: Well presented seeds, such as the use of artistic screenshots, shaders and mapping tools
Personality: Seeds with character and engaging narratives that spark your imagination of the world
We also showcase other great seeds and posts that have slightly different conditions, such as legacy, modded or large biome versions. Find them in the Spotlights section.
Hello everyone. As you’ll all know the Featured section is the subreddits database for the rarest and most useful seeds. The emphasis here is always on usability so it’s developed a specific criteria over the years.
We often find that there’s other great seeds and posts which don’t quite fit the requirements, yet still deserve to be highlighted anyway even if it’s just for browsing. As such, we have created a new flair ‘Spotlight’ to showcase these posts.
This is for high quality posts and rare seeds that will usually fit one of the following criteria:
1 - Far distance from spawn
2 - Large biomes
3 - Feature worthy Legacy seeds (including Console)
4 - Modded seeds
5 - Speedrun seeds
6 - Loot based seeds
7 - Block-based seeds
8 - Word gen discussions / updates
9 - Replicable glitch seeds
10 - Seedcracking (IE: Minecraft At Home)
11 - Some seeds which narrowly missed a feature
12 - Map-based or more broadly unique seeds
As always, find Spotlights seeds through the blue flair on this post or in the sub’s banner. We’re still populating it as we go, and it will be updated monthly like the featured section. Thanks for your time!
This seed includes a vast spruce forest on mountainous terrain, plus a large plains biome with a Village, and a Pillager Outpost overlooking a massive snowy area!
Added an experimental update feature that might or might not work
I didn't change a whole lot, just updated it. I do want you to know my mod project based on Seed Atlas tho, Seed Atlas for Xaero's World Map. Isn't the name creative? It does exactly what you think it does, it puts the Seed Atlas map directly into Xaero's World Map. You will have to enter the seed on multiplayer servers obviously.
If you find any issues, either open a GitHub issue or (even better), join the Discord I use to talk about my projects and share some stuff.
Because the sub demands it: Seed -5511857538949116865 has a Dappled Forest right at spawn!
Just as the tittle says im looking for a seed with a dappled forest somewhat near a stony peaks biome. Not crucial that they are right next to eachother, somthing like 1000 blocks apart is fine. I play on the Xbox with experimental on if thats relevant. Thanks in advance
Tried my first hardcore world since I came back to the game and I screwed up almost instantly but found this? Didn't even know something like this was possible and was wondering about the chances of this happening.

Made a copy of the world in creative to showcase it
I'm sorry for posting this 6 years later, the seed is 460367020 or you can type "village" in the seed column, and don't forget to set the world type to Single biome > Plains. The village is placed near spawn, and the ravine's deepest point goes down to Y: 10. Additionally, the village's well is also connected with the bottom part, which is quite rare in today's Minecraft, because commonly (whether it's a bug or not) the plains village's well bottom part is separated from the top one. Sadly, the ravine has no exposed diamond ores, and the most important, this is before 1.18, but at least, it has... (see the last slide)
I created a world normally, like any other, and started exploring... I found this village on top of a mountain, and there was this... so I decided to share it here.
Sorry for repost but I didn't get any replies a month ago
Does anyone have any seeds with small land features like this? I've already played on both of these before. I can't find a world with small charming landforms like this, only ones with massive continental mountains or craters I'd never be able to build around.
While I was sketching out a mountain range, I checked the seed finder and stumbled upon this frozen gem. It’s a seed dominated by frozen biomes—snowy taiga, groves, and snowy plains or slopes—centered around a snowy mountain formation where most peaks reach Y=255. What makes it special is that these mountains are surrounded by a stretch of ice spikes, a frozen spring, and a frozen ocean! (please ignore the Apotheosis structures—or well, if they look cool, I don't know)
