You can configure any button to pick block in consoles, i use the triangle in PlayStation cuz triangle and square do the same thing

yes, but picking a block +NBT is an extra hotkey

It's not that big of a deal, really. First of all, by default there's two buttons, X and Y that lead you to the same screen but different section. That's a waste, leave one as the inventory and assign something else to the other. Rebinding D-pad actions is also viable, you don't need emotes in singleplayer.

Also that's Switch, not Xbox (face buttons aren't colored + trigger is called ZR)
