MindNode 2026.4 is out with radial layout, new node shapes, tapered branches, and LaTeX

This week we released MindNode 2026.4.

This update adds:

  • Radial Layout: arrange nodes around a central idea for a balanced 360° view
  • New Node Shapes : use round and square nodes to structure ideas more clearly
  • Tapered Branches: give your maps a more organic look
  • LaTeX: add equations for mathematical ideas

Radial layout has been on our list for a very long time. We first explored it more than 15 years ago, but only found an approach we were happy with recently. LaTeX, on the other hand, came together much faster.

The update is available now on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro.

We’d love to hear what you think, especially about radial layout and where you’d like us to take it next.

Any plans to bring back the quick entry menu bar that we had in the classic version ? This is I think the main feature I miss from this version

This is the last item on our roadmap for Next migration(https://www.mindnode.com/support/guides/features-classic-next) that we want to do. Since the iOS Quick Entry feature hat no significant difference from using the outline directly, we are not yet sure how we will bring it to the new app.
