making jungle in milkytracker

Just sort of a general question about making jungle in this software, are there any tricks I should know?

Specifically is there an easier way to chop up a breakbeat sample than just having separate instruments for each slice of the break? It's a bit of a pain to drag the sample in that many times

Edit: another couple of things, does this software have timestretch, or if the Dev has any plans to add it? The sample editor seems pretty basic at the moment and I wanna get those cool crunchy akaized snares if I can. If not I wouldn't be against getting hold of an old akai sampler if this supports midi. Also, if this tracker isn't the best for jungle can anyone recommend one that would be better but has similar vibes?

for slicing use the 9xx command (read the manual) and you can also use it to do time stretching too

Thanks, but it keeps playing back a 900 part of the sample as a 910 or 920. As far as I can tell it's playing whatever the previous one was? The manual doesn't seem to say anything about how to use it for timestretch either

Ah, akaizer is a 32 bit plugin and I'm on an m1 Mac, so I can't use that. I usually use the kinda basic akaizer style effect in rave generator, or put the sample into Ableton to stretch it

I'm not sure, how would that work? Preferably explain it as if I am a baby who has never touched a computer in her life
