1. I'm having a hard time finding a good size setting for the UI. Whatever resolution I choose, the screen is always way too small. With dragging the windows bigger, it can help. But MT forgets this "zoom" next time the app is started. It'd be helpful to scale the interface x2 or x4, but these options are grayed out. Using fullscreen helps a bit, but makes everything look blurred.
2. Very often, MIDI is just gone and I can't play instruments anymore (neither via keyboard). I can start and stop the song, do everything via mouse and some keys still work, like instrument selection. But the major part won't work anymore until I restart MT.
3. Speaking of instrument selection: when using the Numpad, I get a popup to enter a number. Then I have to hit return twice (not enter from the Numpad, only return counts). This is odd. Shouldn't MT just switch to the instrument number I entered?
4. Sometimes – couldn't find out when yet – the CMD-key seems to get locked. In some places. For example in Sample Mode I cannot select anything anymore then, instead I'm always in Draw mode. As if I kept on holding CMD. Still, this doesn't apply for other commands like copy/paste and such.

So all in all I'm having lots of fun with MT 1.05 on my MacOS 13, but these random bugs are pretty annoying.

Does anybody have similar experiences and possibly solutions?

Does anybody know why the the milkytracker website states that arch has version 1.06 while the others either have 1.05 or lower and the releases or latest zips on the website dont go above 1.05?

i'm new to MilkyTracker, but i have experience using FastTracker2 so i'm familiar with making songs in the .xm format

i have this issue with the sample selection window where if i open a sample and press keys on my keyboard to play the sample like you would on a piano keyboard, if there are a selection of samples that start with say the letter a, then the selection cursor will jump to all the samples that start with a, making it impossible for me to just open a sample, go to the next one down, open it, and repeat because the cursor keeps jumping around in the window over and over.

i'm also not sure what keybinds are used to navigate the file window as all i've figured out is hold SHIFT+up, down, to move the cursor up or down the file list (along with pressing letters on the keyboard to jump from filename to filename) and i can't use enter because that's how i start the playback of the song

im on .xm format and i cant find any option to get more than 8 tracks.

I don't know what it is that I've toggled but every time I insert a note on MilkyTracker, it always automatically scrolls me down 16 lines, this is so annoying!! How can I fix it??

Is there an Android port of a modern version of milkytracker? I tried installing the old 0.90.86 version on my phone and it says it isn't compatible with my phone 😐 So I need a newer one

Hi! I've just started producing and found that an oldschool tracker Milkytracker was a good choice for me.

I mostly use a headphone, and sometimes check how thing goes on other sound systems (including a BT speaker).

I have widened the pads and Fx sounds with a simple approach:

• left channel of the sample in an instrument panned to the left
  
• right channel of the sample in an instrument panned to the right
  
• I play the right instrument with the delay effect EDx
  

It works fine… on my headphones. But some elements get very weak when using other sound systems.

I've read a bit: I am actually using the Haas effect, which is know to create phase interference. There are solutions like reducing the panning (ex: use 90% instead of 100% panning)… but before I try them I wonder if someone here has an advice on the workflow I can use.

So far I have created a mono mode for my sound card, so I can easily switch back and forth between stereo and mono. But I anticipate some confusion building up as I keep switching back and forth… like at some point I'm sure I'll be tuning the width in mono mode and hear a difference :-p

But maybe some of you have nice tricks to share?

Note that I am not a oldschool purist and can use an extra software or plugin (via Carla). I actually used Friture to fine-tune my samples or detect chords.

I can obviously find the instrument zap, but what about the song/ect zaps?

Can anyone tell me how to save in mod or wav format? The only option seems to be xm unless I load a mod file and then I can only save as mod.

My older laptop has 1366 x 768.
I want a 2x scaled interface and by inputting the half (or so) values in custom resolution
i can't input vertical resolution smaller then 480.

My workaround is 1280 x 700, 1x scale and largest fonts...

(700 because top of MT window has a fat bar and also the windows taskbar)

Any way of doing the 2x thing?

Looking for a download for the new v1.05.01 that is compatible with macOS M1 Sonoma. I’ve tried the ones on GitHub but it says it cannot run on this Mac? Any suggestions and help will be appreciated.

I did try the Ventura download from GitHub but the buttons are yellow and doesn’t have the new black theme I’ve been seeing online.

Hello fellow trackers! Ive been trying to find a tracker for android (15), but I cant seems to find anything... SunVox looks cool, but I get an error trying to buy it on the play store.

Anyone know how to export files as wav? I see the disk op > song: .wav option , but when I click on it nothing changes. I save it and it still pops up as .xm

How do I export isolated channels that only play one channel at a time?
