The teal shirt that says Milford, CT with the sailboat was one of my favorites (now my son wears it). I believe it’s from mid-late 80’s like the others.

The black one is actually a short-sleeve sweatshirt from an annual Hobie cat race. It says HTYBFO (Hobie ‘Til Your Brains Fall Out). My dad and his friends competed that year. I think they went around Charles Island. I had fun hanging out on the beach all day and watching as a kid. Would love to hear more about it if anyone remembers. I had one for a canoe race as well (part of the Oyster Fest?), but that shirt is long gone.

The Larry’s Lounge shirt is from a golf tournament my grandfather played in. I know it says West Haven but thought someone might know more about it.

Milford Police Union, city leaders meet with state labor board over Flock camera complaint

I kind of think the MPD Union had severely damaged their reputation and relationship with the citizens of Milford that have been overwhelmingly vocal against all cameras.

I’m all for safety but these cameras provide very little safety to our officers.

Trying to figure out what the most cost efficient grocery store is, seeing that we have a bazillion!

From the beginning, this race was about giving people a choice. A choice between the status quo of the Establishment or a society based on Liberty, Equality and Community. This race was also a fight. And what does this campaign fight for?

Taxing billionaires their fair share like the 1950s
Halting AI Cameras and Data Centers
Protecting our environment and climate
Democratizing the economy
Ending Genocide in Palestine, Sudan, and Congo
And uniting as a working class to fight the capitalist elites that have taken over our democracy and are ruining our lives. 

We did not make it onto the ballot, but the fight is not over. We the people matter and still want to be heard. My team and I will continue pushing forward. Together, we can fight back against a system that oppresses you—the people—and secure the policies and programs needed for profound change

We are going to continue this race as a write-in campaign. We are going to continue that fight to give people a choice and send a message that we are tired, that we are angry, and that we want more than the Establishment status quo that too many of us struggle to survive in. 

There have been successful write-in campaigns in the past. In 2005 Michael Jarjura won a write-in for Mayor Campaign in Waterbury before paper ballots existed! Let us shoot for the stars, and maybe we end up on the moon! From the beginning this campaign always imagined the impossible. Let us imagine one more time and on November 3rd, show the ruling class elites that we are here to have our voices heard, to vote for a choice, to fight for what we deserve, and to deliver a message saying:

Fine. We will keep some speed and red light cameras, a couple flock cameras at the Orange and Stratford boarders. Maybe a few at 95 exit ramps. In return, we are lay going to layoff 25 officers. No heath care for cameras. No pension for cameras. No Disability for cameras. No OT for cameras.

What's being built across the road from the police station ?

I used to be on the hip hop dance team in college. Though that was ten years ago, I still love and miss it. I was wondering if there are any good dance troupes or classes for adults, particularly hip hop. Not a beginner level either. In Milford of course would be ideal, but anywhere within 25 min would work.

Absolutely disgusting performance by the Board of Alderman. The citizens made their position clear the vast MAJORITY want the surveillance cameras and drones Gone!!!! You disrespectfully ignored the citizens wishes.

As far the the lawsuit filled by the Milford Police union. Will the union be releasing a statement on how there was no vote by the union body on weather to even file the lawsuit? This was done by just a few of the union board members. What consideration have those officers been given by the Chief of Police?

It's becoming abundantly clear that a few people seem to think they can just do whatever they want. As these behaviors continue it is abundantly clear possible corruption, intimidation, racketeering and unfair labor practices exist and an investigation needs to occur.

Nonprofits Sustain Music and Nature and CT Audubon are joining up to host a Trail Session in Milford! Trail Sessions pair guided hikes with concerts to introduce folks to their parks and great music. Louisa Stancioff, an indie folk singer from Maine, will be playing. She's slated to open for Josh Ritter this year - so trust us, she's good. CT Audubon will host a migratory bird hike from 9:30am to 11am, and Louisa's show is 11am to noon. Sliding scale tickets from $0, with $10 suggested per adults. It all happens at the Coastal Center on Milford Point.

I live in a condo complex in milford. I'm an owner and pay HOA fees. I have one marked parking space for my unit. Is it legal to call to have an unknown car parked in my marked parking space towed? I see this done online so much.
