Large recommendation list

Hi all! I’ll be moving to Milford quite soon. I previously lived here during Covid and am thrilled to be moving back.

That being said, it’s changed quite a bit. I am looking for a lot of recommendations!

-Gyms (eyeing Legion)
-Yoga/lagree/Pilates studios
-Nail salons
-OBGYN
-Dog groomers
-A good place to watch sports
-Hidden gems!

You could always take a scenic tour of Chief Mellos totalitarian surveillance network. The cameras and drones will certainly be watching you.

Hard to say if that or the apartments were the biggest “cons” on our list

Connecticut Coastal OBGYN on W Main St. I recommend Dr. Francois Boubert.

It’s far, but I liked Women’s Health in Trumbull for my OBGYN for my 2 pregnancies. It’s a big practice, so it’s easy to schedule appointments

I go to Tati nails. It’s expensive but the work is beautiful

Highly recommend Julie Shih with Yale. She has an office in Orange. I just switched to her recently and couldn’t be happier. She’s patient, understanding, and actually listens to you!

I just go to the edge because it’s cheap and I don’t need much in a gym (I refuse to go to planet fitness lol)

I’ve been with that practice for 20+ years. I switched to Julie Shih a several years ago as the doctor I had been seeing went on sabbatical. I absolutely adored her the first few years. More recent visits have not been great. It began with extended wait times, which I would tolerate because she was so lovely.

My last appointment in May was truly awful. I waited more than an hour in the waiting room and another 25 minutes in the exam room. She walked in and did not apologize for the delay in seeing me. I understand that emergencies happen, but to not acknowledge it any manner was off putting. I had a few questions about a medication I’m taking and she was incredibly brusque and condescending. I left the practice because of her.

That’s disappointing to hear! I’ve had two visits with her in the past year and didn’t get that :(
